Diamondfan and Dancing Fire Need to Replace "DF"

[AGBF]

A fight broke out in a political thread...and it was not because of a political disagreement. It was because the abbreviation "DF" was used indiscriminately.

We have two "DF"''s at the moment and there isn''t enough room in this town for two DF''s.

Diamondfan suggested that she might be "df" and that Dancing Fire could be "DF". Alternatively, she could be "Dfan" and he could be "Dfire".

I thought that as a community we had better hash this out and come to a reasonable conclusion before there is further bloodshed.

I have been on the forums for several months and i am just beginning to understand abviviations and who everyone is and some of their writing styles...new people dont have this advantage...why not just spell out diamond fan and dancing fire so there is no mistaken identities in the future.

Or leave it as is and when the time comes where there is potential for confusion, you can just spell out the full name.

Honestly, for me when I read "DF" I think Dancing Fire. It wasn''t until a week ago when I realized it was "dancing" and not "diamond fire" LOL. It''s like calling a guy JR instead of his real name. Dancing is DF. Diamondfan to me is Diamondfan. That''s her name and I feel weird abbreviating it. That probably sounds weird.

I love Dancing Fire but sometimes he is naughty!!! He has been here longer overall I think, but I am fine with Dfan is one wishes to abbreviate or Diamondfan if one wishes to be long...

I never tried to be DF. I just started noticing people calling me that, and I did not think about it in terms of Dancing Fire. SO.....

I can be, in no particular order of preference:

Diamondfan
Caroline
Dfan.

Does that work for you all, if not what are some of the other choices? I am NOT giving up my name here, I happen to love it and feel very partial to it!
