I think we have a few Dexter watchers here. I had trouble sleeping after the season finale last night

. What did you think of it?

I listen to two different radio morning shows, that are in 2 different cities, and BOTH talked about this thing for over 20 minutes.

I don't normally watch it, but after that Finale, I think their viewership/DVD sales are going to skyrocket!

I am dying to get home and watch it. From every woman that was watching I have heard everything from hyper-ventilating, insomnia, to loss of emotional control. It sounds like these writers are incredible.

I watch Dexter, but I don''t get Showtime so I have to watch it on dvd and so I obviously haven''t been able to see the 4th season yet

I can''t wait til it comes out on dvd!

My DH and I love to watch Dexter. It''s one of our favorite shows. I think this season was really good! I must say though... last night''s ending was not what I was expecting... AT ALL! We looked at each other and were saying... NO WAY! I can''t believe that just happened! So now I''m thinking... where are they going to go with the next season?

I can''t tell you guys how much I''m dying to look up episode guides for the 4th season now. I''m trying to resist, but the dvds won''t be out forever and I''m impatient.

I am still a little distraught today.

I disliked that particular person, but didn''t see that coming. sigh.

elrohwen- hubby and I used to watch it just on DVD but we were so impatient we got Showtime this year! It sucked having to wait a week between episodes (that would have killed me season 2 with the Doakes stuff) . It would be so hard waiting for this season though!


portia- I guessed it a little before it happened but hubby said no way. Highlight for spoiler (so don''t highlight elrohwen!) ---> I really wish hubby had been right. Rita was kind of annoying this season but I am still so sad. When I guessed it I thought the baby was going to be killed too for some reason so I am really glad that didn''t happen. I just feel so sad for how scared Rita must have been. It is amazing how attatched you can get to people who aren''t real! I think Dex would have to be a suspect though... no alibi and the bath tub victim was usually a single woman and Trinity was on the run. Ugh can''t wait for next season!

meresal- Just be prepared! I bet you are right... there will be a lot of people getting all the old dvds!

Oh my goodness, Indecisive, you''re killing me with the highlight for spoiler thing! I need DH to tell me not to look.

We just finished season 3 last week, so that makes me even more impatient for season 4.

haha ooops I guess that is like telling someone who is afraid of hights to not look down! My hubby is bad and would tell me to look at the spoiler and tell him, thus why we broke down and got showtime!

Haha, ok, I''ll admit that I just did a little episode guide hunt. It had some spoilers, but it didn''t give away anything too huge. I think I''m satisfied for now kind of knowing what happened, but not exactly what and why it was so shocking. Now I''ll just be on Netflix every day hoping that they''ll update when the dvd comes out!

I am shocked. I meant it was fitting. Poetic even but disturbing. I really liked Rita and thought she was good for him. And the fact Harrison basically went through the same thing (so a lesser degree) of Dexter is so tragic. They are setting up a possible spin off one day. I am glad Deborah did not find out that Dexter knew about his brother. That girl needs a break. I am glad the whole trinity thing was over b/c the cat and mouse game was getting old. So how in the world is Dexter going to be a single dad to three kids?

Still don't understand why she went home. I know her plane was delayed but I must have missed something. He should have just let him jump off the building!

ETA: I do wonder how it is going the police are going to react. Quinn already thinks Dex is cheating so maybe he will think Dex did this as a way out. Yikes.

She forgot her ID at home that she needed to get on the plane so she went home to get it and was going to take a later flight. I really liked Rita too, especially in the first and second season. She really loved Dexter and the way he touched her face in the bath tub was so sad/sweet. Beyond Quinn, Masuka also saw Rita and the neighbor kissing and told Dexter about it. Plus he was punching so many people that day. Fall 2010 is too far away!

I don't like this show at all. I want to like it. Sort of. I like oddball shoes usually... but especially when he became a father, I can't even watch it now.

Yep, I was completely shocked and saddened as well. It was so sudden, it almost feels like somebody "really" died. Dexter is for sure going to be the prime suspect. No alibi and lots of suspicion surrounding him, Rita, Masuka and Quinn. Also, Batista saw Dexter and Trinity together at the station. Next season is going to be a doozie! I think it is inevitable that Deb is going to figure it all out someday (that Dex was Bayside Butcher, etc), and what will she do with that information? Dexter is the only good thing in her life. Tragic!

This isn''t about the finale, but I had to add that my SIL is exactly like Deb. We were watching one day and DH said about Deb, "Wow, she''s kind of annoying sometimes. You''d have to be her family to really like her. Hey, she reminds me of my sister! Tall and lanky and always saying inappropriate things." Lol. So every time we watch, we make comparisons - Deb''s flaws, strengths, and appearance are so much like my SIL that it''s weird.

Rita was more annoying/clingy this season. It really bugged me she expected him to take the night shift while he was working. Seemed kinda selfish to me. Of course he seemed kinda of paranoid like when he answered his phone while driving b/c the baby could be sick. By the way I am obviously not very smart b/c I JUST made the connection that Harrison was named after Harry. Haha.

indecisive, thanks I obviously missed that part! Aggg...so close to being safe.

ETA: I am SOOOO excited they are starting to promote "weeds" and "nurse jackie" b/c I cannot wait until both those shows start up again. Showtime plays bad movies but they do have awesome shows.

Tacori, Rita irritated me as well this season... very clingy and whiny. Ugh! But I didn''t want to see her gone.

I''m Weeds fan, too. I didn''t know it was starting again. Haven''t watched Nurse Jackie, but it looks pretty good.

I did NOT see that coming what.so.ever. With all of the careless mistakes Dexter was making that episode, I figured he''d be caught drugging/killing Arthur by at least one of his coworkers. I mean, the kill spot was in the basement where Arthur had held that little boy who''d been questioned by Deb earlier that day. Risky.

LAJenn- You bring up a good point- Batista DID see Dex and Arthur speaking at the station. Hmmm. I wonder how Dexter will explain being tied to Trinity at work.

Tacori, I can''t wait for Nurse Jackie (of of my favorites!) and Big Love to start up again.

I loved that finale. It was really exciting to watch! I can''t say I lost any sleep over it but that was a pretty crazy ending. To be quite honest, I could NOT STAND her character. Just ANNOYING. So I''m actually pretty glad I don''t have to watch her in it anymore.

ok... I still have to make it through Season 3. I find it really irritating with the other guy who wants to be an accomplice. Dexter is a solo job, ok dude?!? back off!
