I am in the process of re-decorating my bedroom. I've had it painted, new soft furnishings and next week my new hardwood floor will be installed. It took me almost a year to decide on things, but it's finally in the homestretch.

I live in a Cape Cod house {which is code for SMALL} and my bedroom has eaves on the long walls. One side has 18 drawers built into the wall. The other side has a recessed shelf {small}, my bed, and the doors to the crawl pace, The two opposing walls have a window on one side, a door and closet door on the other.

If you are still reading this, thanx. My quandary is what kind of wall decorations should I use on the long walls? I have been able to get a small grouping on the wall with the window. My air conditioner is on the other side of that wall. The long walls are 36 inches high and the rest of the walls are slanted. Yes, I know a picture would be helpful, be nice Sean moved out, we lost our photographer.

Any ideas would be welcome and thanx for reading this.

You did not mention the style you're trying to achieve? Or maybe I missed it. Have you thought about a large mirror to help with the illusion of a larger room? Pictures would be helpful so that we can see the actual room - It's difficult for me to envision the room. Good luck - I am sure that it will be lovely when finished. :wavey:

I'm going for shabby chic. I thought about a mirror, but I can't picture where it would go. The drawers take up one side of the room, bed, bookcases and crawl space doors take up the other. I'll try to get my sons to stop by and do some pictures, but since he got him p/t reffing job an works all day we don't see him a soften a I like.

But I'll see about finding a place for the mirror.

thanx

Interesting idea!

My biggest challenge is that with the slanted walls running lengthwise I have no idea what to do with the top part of the wall. At times like this I wish I hadn't dropped out of design school.

This one seems to use the lights to break up the space: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/198932508513264439/

Could do something like this with a mirror: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/258394097342583860/ or have it mounted to a slope. My aunt has a mirror in her kitchen mounted to a sloped bit of ceiling all the way across and it reflects the whole room which is neat, but maybe not for a bedroom depending on your inclinations.

An article with lots of pictures: http://carlaaston.com/designed/low-angled-sloped-ceiling

Photos of your room would make it so much easier for those of us with visualization limitations...
