David Tutera Engagement rings at Sears!

I saw an ad for these somewhere!

although with his recent show I wouldn't necessarily rush to classify him as "elegant" or "high end"...

ETA WOW those are overpriced! I always hear on PS that "maul" jewelry is overpriced...

comparison

David Tutera "1/2 cttw princess certified G/H I1/I2 princess with 14 kt band" $2599.99, on sale for $1299.99

WF ACA princess 0.464 ct G VS2 $991.80 + band $350

That is what I was going to say! I think he already sold out...

I've never heard of him, but those rings look like the crap Sears already sells....

Yuck! But those are the kind of rings that people buy who don't know anything about diamonds. I1-I2 clarity can't be what anyone
wants.

Obviously the quality is crap, but the designs are equally crap. I wouldn't allow any of these near my hand!

x 2. Those are HIDEOUS.

He sold out a while back.

I got the pleasure  of meeting him when my cousin was on my fair wedding. Nice enough but extremely full of himself. Made fun of other people and thought he was god's gift. Oh well, to each their own.

yeah, I think my favorite is the one with the 6 princess cuts invisible set to look like a large radiant cut. If you use the zoom tool you can see all sorts of unevenness in the setting :errrr: :errrr:

Such a sell out, yuck!!!

Really? Dang, that kinda puts a damper on the show for me.

I am not familiar with that designer, but those rings look like junk. :knockout:

Gross.

I watch that show. It's my guilty pleasure since I've been married over 11 years. Gotta ask, WHICH ONE IS YOUR COUSIN?? and was the reception nice up close? sometimes I wonder if they skimp out on the stuff you *don't* see.

He seems like such a genuinely sweet person but when I saw the ad at Sears I was like "oh David, nooooo". Does anyone even shop at Sears anymore?

Me too :( he seems different on the show

I do like that show. but I dont like those rings...they are ugly

Wow. Those styles remind me of looking thru the Service Merchandise catalog as a kid! I thought all wedding jewelry looked like that for years. It feels very '80s to me. I don't care for any of it and the prices.... geez louise! Ouch! You can do so much better on so many fronts than that. Obviously there's a market for it.... to each their own i guess.

Lawn mowers!

Never heard of him but what yukky merchandise!

Oh, dear. Those are some crazy diamond-encrusted monstrosities.

Wherever does he find his inspiration?

I agree April. I'm amazed at how dated these rings look. They don't reflect current trends or styles at all. Except maybe the halo style rings...but even they look off-kilter. Very strange.

Pardon me - I just threw up in my mouth.

I was actually on the show. If you watch the one that was the wine inspired wedding (focused after a pink merlot) - Kricket was the bride. The scene where all the bridesmaids come in to the greenhouse and say hello and then see her in her wedding gown... I'm the one who told her mother she looked beautiful too when she commented on the bride's dress (her mother is my aunt, obviously).

The bride and groom immensely enjoyed their day, which is all that matters. And the reception site did look good. A LOT of flowers. However everything in the ceremony site was fake flowers, right after he makes fun of her for using F-A-K-E stuff. I just didn't like how he would say one thing to people's faces, then turn to the camera and make fun of them. But I guess thats part of the show. Everything was staged and taping took a long time. It isn't like how you see it on TV, believe me. But like I said the bride and groom were happy with how everything played out.

Hmmm. It's the "trying too hard" collection ... wonkiness included! No Extra Charge!
