Andi - I love reading your posts, I think I''d get along famously with you in person!

Tell us about what you like to do, who you like to spend your time with, and what you would do if you had all of the money and time in the world! GO!

Yes, come on up!

Please tell us more; I remember you posted pics of your Calisthenics team!

Yikes, how did I miss this?!?! Sorry!!

Thanks Lauren!!

I've always thought we'd click straightaway IRL too!!

Well I guess I'll start with the original questions! I love to shop, run, swim, bake and horseride when I have the time. Like Skippy mentioned I'm in a Calisthenics team, so my favourite things are music and dance, or any of the performing arts, really! Can't remember if I've posted this before but it's a clip of a few of the country's elite teams as a competition, just to give you an idea of what it's all about!

And it probably sounds a bit gross, but I have a fascination with all things surgical!! In my field of work I see some amazing stuff and work alongside some incredible surgeons, and am always hungry for education about the human body and how it works! I was called to work at 4am today to deliver a baby via emergency caesarian, and even at that hour it never ceases to amaze me!!

I like to spend time the most with my DH, we are best mates and enjoy ourselves whatever we are doing and wherever we are, just so long as it's he and I

My mum is a great companion too, she's my best friend alongside Matt. My 4 bridesmaids are in a circle of friends I'm proud to call mine, and are a hoot to spend a weekend away with!

Yowza, if I had all the time and money in the world... I'd have to SEE the world, I think. DH and I are giving our mortgage a hiding at the moment, so there isn't much spare cash to travel, but I'd dearly love to head around Europe one day before we think about having a baby, and one the house is completely paid off. Oh, and I'd buy more bling, of course

Especially now that I'm completely into this coloured stone thing!!!!!!!

Yay, Andi! I''m so happy you finally found this! I love your posts, and you are so sweet. My former roommate and my best friend is way into surgical stuff - watches all of the shows on Discovery TV that she can. I''ve seen my fair share of TV surgeries, too. ;)

Were you ever queezy when you started your career? Has anything with your job just made you go, "What am I doing here?"

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you want to start? Let''s build you an itinerary so you have it mostly ready to go when the moeny & time to travel pops up!

I''ve had a long standing fascination with surgical stuff, it was the main reason I chose nursing in the first place, and as soon as I received a placement in theatre I felt strangely at home! I enjoyed ward nursing and intensive care, but I didn''t thrive in those environments like theatre, there''s SO much variety and always something new and different to learn.

I''ve never been the queezy type at all, but digging out ingrown toenails is my weakness, as I''ve had it done and it HURTS!! That''s the only reason I can put to the fact that I can scrub for bowel resections, joint replacements and what have you, but resecting ingrown toenails gives me the heebie jeebies

And an itinerary sounds great Lauren! I''d love love love to see Ireland, I have a large extended family there that I largely haven''t met yet. And I speak some Italian and have studied the country, so would love to put that into practice! I''ve heard that Swizterland is incredible, and that the shopping in Paris is amazing!! All places I hope to visit one of these days! I have three brothers, two of which have been to France with their girlfriend/wife. Neither brother enjoyed Paris as much as their partners, which leads me to think that I''d love it... neither of them are shoppers!!
41.gif
How much of the wide world have you seen, Lauren?

Hehe, they must not be shoppers! I''ve actually never been to Paris, but I''m dying to go!!!

Let''s see, I lived in London for a while, so I spent some time in the north, UK, Scotland, Belgium, northern France. DH and I went to Germany and Italy in March. I''ve been to Mexico a couple of times and the Caribbean 2 or 3 times. Plus, many states in the US, but I still have yet to go to NYC. I''ve been to Hawaii twice, soon to be 3 times.

How did you find Pricescope, Andi?

DA, wow, you are so awesome at Calisthenics

You and your DH sound adorable!!!

WOW Lauren, you''re so worldly!! I am MEGA jealous over here!!!

Heehee, shoppers they are NOT. Boys.

I found Pricescope through Diamondtalk, another jewellery forum which I joined when DH and I were researching styles for my engagement ring. Heaps of people on that forum always talked about ''PS'', and when I FINALLY worked out what PS was I had to delve into it a little further. And I''m glad I did!! So I guess I sort of tripped over it by chance

How did you come across it Lauren??

Tee hee, thankyou, Skippy! I think he is quite adorable

I wish I was still as good at cali as the girls in that clip, but even at the age of 26, all that flex gets pretty tough! I have to work at it three times as hard as I used to, which is tough working two jobs... I rarely get time! I find myself scrubbed at work stretching whatever muscles I''m not using at the time to fit in some form of flex! The surgeons think I"m a bit potty

Oh, yes! DT! I was a lurker there, and worked out the PS thing, myself, too. That place is interesting, but it''s not really the kind of place I felt like registering.

What is your favourite pic of you? Post it if you want to! Would love to see some pics in here!

Hehe, I just went through my photos on my computer and had a good old laugh at some of them! Here''s one of my fav wedding pics:

One of my babies, a huge camera-loving moggy called Pippin!

Here is one of my beautiful mini foxies Ebony, trying to snuggle with her big ''brother''. Pippin was decidedly unimpressed.

Ebony''s sister, a 3 kilogram monster called Bubbles. She is ridiculously cute, and not too bright.

We love them all SO much!!

I took this of her when she first modelled her winter jumper. Every time I look at this picture I crack up. She wasn''t happy at ALL. She looks so forlorn!!

WorriedBubb_2.jpg

That should do for now! I was scratching around for pics of my brothers, I have 3 of them and none of us look much alike at all!

Speaking of how unworldly I said I am, hubby and I just booked a holiday for August to Thailand, YAY!! Not looking forward to the plane flight though, I get sick
