Cute Holiday Party Outfit HAAALLLP!!!

Hi Everybody!! Since you've proved yourselves to be keen online shoppers with outstanding taste, please help me find something to wear to my guy's holiday party on Friday!!! I'm running out of time!!!

The party is going to be at the Conga Room at LA Live (http://lalive.com/play/conga-room), so I would like to wear something like black skinny jeans (which I already own) and a cute top, or a party dress. I would love something sparkly, fun and festive, and I don't want to spend over $200. I tried on some of the sequin stuff at Express last week. Cute sparkle, but the cut/fit wasn't great. I have a closet full of beautiful clothes, but they are almost all too small (very sad)!!! I have gone from a size 4-6 to an 8-10 in the last year I am 5'10"with an athletic build and broad shoulders, so nothing with frilly or puffy sleeves.l I also look like a freaking linebacker in strapless, but I can do skinny straps or halter. I have light brown hair, very blue eyes and medium/olive skintone. I look great in vibrant colors--especially jewel tones.

If you have seen anything really cute, please let me know!!!

Is this cute? It also comes in gold, but gold is riskier, I think? It can wash me out if it's too close to my skintone.

Did you try on one of the sequin mini's at Express? I think one of those with some opaque tights and a pretty sweater (and maybe your moto jacket) would be just enough sparkle and still fun.

yeah, the sequin mini's at Express were NOT cute on me. Too short and the sequins were all weird on the seams.

What do you think of this? Could be cute with black skinny jeans? Or do you think it's too casual?

I like dresses:
2. Mark and James--love the front and color but the back looks dicey, very open but if you're okay with that i like it
3. Maggy London--this is tasteful yet has a sexy edge to it, not sure if you could wear a motto on top
4. Adrianna Papell--this is really really cute, looks like it has great reviews and I think a motto jacket is doable with this dress
Can you get to a Nordstroms and try them on?
I think black skinny pants/sequin top might be a bit meh for a holiday party in downtown LA, I say get a really cute dress and a peeptoe platform pump. Show us what you get!

Thanks sandy cheeks! I am okay with the open back. I am not large-busted, so braless is fine. I am going to try and get to Nordstrom tomorrow.

I agree about the Adriana Papell, I think it could be really cute. I also like the Maggy London if you're into the single sleeve, which I AM. Mark & James looks expensive for the quality (as far as I can see). I'm all about getting a good deal or at least feeling like I got what I paid for. I would go hit up the clearance rack at Nordstrom's or Macy's.

I'm with LJL, go check out the clearance racks. Last year right before New Year's, I found an adorable short sleeved a-line black cocktail dress covered with paillettes (flat version of sequins) for $20 or something insane. If I could, I would send it to you, we're about the same size/height. Good luck, and please post pics when you find your special outfit!
