Right now I am obsessing about a 5 stone band for our 17th anniversary coming up in June. I can''t decide if I want the u-prong or the trellis and what size and color diamonds to get. I think 30 pointers or bigger would be perfect. Something that looks substantial on it''s own since I don''t really plan to wear it with any other rings.
I also can''t decide if I want rose gold, white gold or platinum.

I am also trying to decide if I should reset my pear. I love the rose gold Grace solitaire that QueenMum received from BGD. I don''t know if they could do the same setting for a pear though.

Hi PP I love the Jazz band and all asscher bands are just so cool (did you see Asscher girl''s thread on the asscher''s she tried on in Hawaii? I about passed out!). I love the rose gold idea for your pear, btw... but I''d go with platinum on the 5 stone, personally.

Like Thing2, I don''t care for anything right now. I have more rings than I have the hands to wear them (I only wear one per hand, and I have three rings.) My bezel earrings I like, but I wouldn''t replace them if something happened to them. I''m really only interested in rings going forward since I like to see my jewelry.

So, nope, nada. I do like buying jewelry though, so I''ll buy a sapphire and diamond band for my mom''s 70th birthday this year to present to her in Kauai. Those are her and Amelia''s birthstones, so it will be symbolic as well as pretty.

Bracelets T-gal. Bracelets.

My earrings make me feel pretty. I would miss them very much if they were gone, and I would replace them... I''m just not sure what I would replace them with, ya know?

- Dangling pear earrings: leverbacks, I think. Those are a distant dream.

But I wandered around Tiffany''s yesterday, and little .40 pears look so lovely in a thin bezel ... sigh.

- setting a lovely Burmese ruby I''ve had hanging around for ages. It''s absolutely gorgeous, but other things kept taking priority (my Sepkus band, the new diamond pendant), and now, dagnabbit, it''s the ruby''s turn!

- After that? Hmmmmmmmmmm. I suppose a low-color Infinity like Glitterata''s ... that thing makes me swoon. :)

Okay. I lied. I want a martini pendant.

I''m amazed at those who don''t want anything. I just called Lesley for a 2.5 carat bangle, she''s qouting me on it. I''m pretty excited.

So many classic items wanted here. It''s interesting how many people want everyday wear items instead of dress up items. For bling addicts, we seem to be a practical lot.
Gypsy, I''m wondering which total weight bangle would have .10 pt stones in it? Do you know what size each stone would be in the 2.5 ct?

Nope, they bug me.

I want a warm color (M or so) diamond in a rose gold bezel. I keep seeing them around on PS and they make me drool!

And of course, always wanting to expand my colored stones!

Gemgirl, I did ask but I forget and will have to confirm again. :-)

Deco, that bracelet belongs to a PSer, I recognize it, and is lovely. If I wanted pave on my bracelet I would definitely give it a second glance! The sample BGD bangle will be here tomorrow and I''ll post pics. The only one they have is 1ctw so I''m just evaluating it for circumference and style.

Tgal, I get that. I''m going to have to get used to wearing on myself.

MTG-- that sounds lovely. I want a rose gold piece as well, they are amazing.

My on again/off again obsession with Tanzanite is on again.

Since my sapphire obsession has been quieted, the only thing I can think of is some diamond hoops.

Yellow stones, bezel bands, 3 stone gem rings.

Deco~talking behind my back won''t help matters

I know you want those earrings and I don''t think that a replica will scratch that itch. Of course I will not do anything to pressure you, that wouldn''t be right

The Gurhan earrings I tried on during our Walnut Creek GTG.
Simple diamond studs and pendant.
a blingy but not too large 5-stone diamond ring, maybe like the BGD nightengale.
A simple Cartier Trinity ring.

OK, so that''s more a list than a fixation.

Im just not feeling like spending big (for me) money on jewelry right now.

Can''t wait to see what bracelet you end up with, Gypsy!

Hold the phone! I have a new jewelry fixation: last night I got bored and whipped together a nice 24" chain. My pendant looks PERFECT at this length. I can see it to enjoy it with my very own eyes! It falls flatteringly, but can be tucked away when I''m on the street!

But it feels wrong in sterling. So, new fixation? A gorgeous 24" platinum cable chain. Sigh ....

Bezel set studs...so badly! I finish my first year of teaching soon and if I get to work summer school I''ll be buying them at the end of summer!

Madame Bijoux-- I like tanzanite but the softness concerns me. I would love a nice piece of Iolite however. Can't wait to see how your obsession manifests itself though!

Michelle, that ring is just breathtaking. I adore your AV, and love your sapphires! Diamond hoops. There are some nice ones out there... have anything particular in mind.

Packrat... I hear you! Especially on the three stone gem rings front. I want a really nice one at some point. Made by Leon preferably. And with those really cool cadillac cushions as sidestones.

VR-- definitely a list. Simple studs and a pendant are a nice thing right now since the price of diamonds relative to metal is affordable. When you are in the mood to spend, can't wait to see what you end up with! I actually have an update on the bracelet thing. 2K isn't much for a bracelet, and I've asked for a quote on the blingy band similar to the blue nile garland band.

Circe-- wow that's ambitious desire with the price of metals. On my wishlist is a 18 inch gold chain but.... way too expensive right now.

Asscherhalo-- I can't wait to see them!

HI MARIAN!

I got the bracelet BGD sent me to try for fit. It fits and is lovely. But... I'm really wanting a tennis bracelet. And while I like the bangle I'm not in love with it. On the otherhand 2K gets a pretty nice RHR so that's what I am going for. At least that's today's decision.

Groan ... I know! That''s what puts it on the "ambitions" list: I''ll either wait for the price of platinum to fall, or search used until my eyes cross ....

I had no particular fixations diamond/gem wise until I came back to PS after a mini-break. Figures that would happen!!

Fixation #1 - I am seriously considering re-setting my e-ring stone into some sort of semi-bezel setting. I love my three stone, but I am realizing more and more that I need something more practical for my lifestyle.

Fixation #2 - Bezel studs (using my two .25ct stones from my current e-ring) from BGD.

Fixation #3 - DBTY bracelet in rose gold from BGD.

I am definitely FIXATED on all of the above, but I''d much rather put the $$ into our house right now. Hubster wants me to wait a couple of more years for a re-set of my e-ring to mark our 5th anniversary which I cannot argue with. However...that DBTY bracelet is calling my name, and I am not doing a very good job of ignoring it!

Sapphires. Periodically, I''ll get into research mode and I''ll find one that I love, but then I remember that we have no money.

I''d love to get a violet-blue sapphire or a color change like Catmom''s.

I got the go ahead to get the five stone ring for our anniversary! Can''t wait to get it. I did get the husband a new wedding band too, so I wouldn''t feel too guilty buying a ring for me.

I''ve always wanted a pair of bezel set old mine or cushion cut earrings in leverback settings. Since we''ll probably never have the budget for that (the kitchen needs some updates, and I''ll need a new car soon, and the master bath is looking kind of sad, and...), I''ve now fixated on the idea of taking my current diamond studs and having them put into a white gold version of these Single Stone settings:
