I guess this is a spin-off from the Crazy Wedding Dreams post that was posted in the Brides forum.
I dreamt last night that my boyfriend proposed to me. It was in a crowded room with people milling around. He was talking to a good friend of his (a girl) and I was standing off to the side. While talking to her, he said, "Hold on a minute (girl's name).."This is for you, Sha" - then he gave me the most ugly ring in my hand!! It was a thin steely edged gold band with two small rubies and a diamond on it. I remember saying 'thanks' and thinking, "This ring is awful! I hate it!" and "why did he give it to me like that?"
Anyway, after my boyfriend left I started looking with the ring, wondering whether to tell him I hated it or not. Then the top part ofthe ring fell off! I went to him...(he was sitting by a lake somewhere) and said, "Hon, uhm.....how much did you spend on this ring? Part of it just fell off". He said, "What! But I spent $90,000 on it!". (don't ask me where he got that from). And I said sweetly but incredulously.. "But hon, we can find a MUCH better ring for half that price."
And that was the end of the dream. Weird, huh? I think it's becausemy boyfriend will be picking out my ring (I'm not fussy at aalllll about diamonds/settings etc.... (I guess it was the boards that got me here.. not the diamonds) nor do I want anything expensive. Just really affordable and simple) But I guess there are some fears in there somewhere of what he might pick! He is extremely clueless about engagement and wedding stuff.
Anybody else have strange pre-engagement dreams?
