A lot of pets are enjoying having their mommy and daddy work from home the past year....but how many of your pets have gained Covid weight? My Noah gained 3lbs! Went from 20lbs to 23lbs.....all due to all of us giving him extra treats throughout the day....time
to throw in extra walks!

Here is a pic of my chunky furbaby

Hmmm, yes, all of us have found some extra weight.
I was “shamed” by the breeder (in a nice way) about Arya being too fat so she has been on a diet.
We now have hip bones again!
I am still a work in progress :lol-2:

Note - Arya is a Saluki, that’s a Middle Eastern sighthound ie running long distance at speed after prey and catching it. They are supposed to be lean.412E4E0F-77B7-4F28-BD55-B16875DC7F2F.jpeg

Carly was recently put on a forced diet. We found that our little white dog has been getting to and eating the cat food! Can’t keep the food out anymore so she is bound to lose weight. So will the dog I imagine.

Her Covid weight is because our oldest son has been home over a year since March 2020. He carries her everywhere! We have a child gate in front of the bathroom entrance so the dogs can’t get to the litter boxes. She will literally wait for him to open the gate and let her in, then when she’s done she will meow for him to come back and open it. Enabler!

Currently no issues with weight gain (weight loss though, yes!) My oldest who should be 68lbs is 63 and does not have the appetite she used to. We have a vet visit June 4 so hoping its nothing too serious.

She'll be 11, so we're hoping its just some old lady stuff. Refuses everything except packaged tuna , whip cream, raw turkey necks and cookies. Tonight I'm trying some bacon in veggies. its worked before, so hoping it will work again.

She's beautiful! I have greys so I get asked why my dogs are so skinny...lol

They are best friends! So nice!

For about 6 weeks Borris wouldn't go outside and she ate a full breakfast not just a mouthful on the way out the door.
She is back to wanting to go out again most days and its got so cold i don't think a bit of winter padding will hurt her

So me and my pittie, Coconut, have both gained weight! I thoroughly enjoyed COVID at home happy hours thinking that when Spring came along, we would hit the park running and take care of business. But Coco had a torn CCL and had surgery so we are doing slow 10 minute leashed walks in the yard. My sons wedding is in 6 weeks and I can’t fit in my dress.

Oh no....but 6 weeks is still a ways ahead. Maybe some walks with Coco in a doggie stroller :)

I'm definitely more motivated than my pup to lose the Covid lbs, I have been dragging him on extra walks lately, even if I have to carry him the last mile!
