No way! I don't like light in the morning. I prefer the curtains to be closed until I am wide, wide awake. Like 2 pm lol. Plus it would be scary at nighttime. I always close the blinds/curtains at night. It scares me to see the darkness and to wonder who/what is out there! I am a dork.

I have a ton of windows too, but sometimes it makes me uncomfortable. I don't like feeling like I'm outdoors when it's storming or dreary, then I just want to be in a little cottage with thick walls and tiny windows . . .

This house is the most open of all my spaces, and sometimes I pine for my last one, which felt more protected.

during storms i still want to see what mother nature is doing. i have not had window coverings since 1993. this house has one room that i call the "sun room": ceilings 24 feet tall, the room is really a hexagon with the triangular side all windows from top to bottom. it is this room that "sold" me on the place. in this room i am part of the elements. granted, its about as far as i want to be in those elements though during some of the storms we get.....but i also do not live where we get 2 feet of snow either. watching the redwoods sway is scary and amazing at the same time.....

admittedly, we'd need a barn down below the house and out of sight to house the "clutter".

I wonder how much :naughty: it would take to fog all those windows up?

I wouldn't mind. My neighbors might though

the house seems to be located w/o being in view of neighbors..........

i've always figured those that look deserve what they see.....

Well, I guess nobody could sneak up on you? :errrr: Frankly looking at it makes me a little agoraphobic! Sooooo not my style. I like me some privacy, man. If I want to prance about in my bra and panties (or less) in the mornings, I want to not have an audience other than husband and cats. (See: why I was so pissed to find Comcast dudes on my roof unexpectedly last week, snort.)

And yeah. I am a clutteraholic. My antiques would look weird in that place! I'm not a fan of the ultra-modern look. I find it kind of chilly and off-putting I guess. But the ultra modern look is so far polar opposite of my personal style (of decorating, of clothing, and so forth) that I guess I have a hard time connecting to it.

The view that house has is awesome though! I would personally prefer to appreciate it from a deck however :naughty:

ETA: The place I live right now has very high ceilings, actually. I kinda like it, it feels spacious. One part of our residence has something like 40' ceilings or possibly even more. Most of this building varies between 4-5 floors (depending on what part of the building you're in and where it is on the hillside) and we happen to live in one part where when you walk in, you're close to the ground floor and if you look up, it's right straight up to the roof. I think it's the only spot in the entire building like this. Very... echoey.

i've watched too many horror films... easy to watch from the darkness, no neighbors to hear you scream... there's no way i can live in that house!! :errrr:

I figured there HAD to be another house on the property. If the glass house is meant for entertaining only, I can see that.

We lived in the town where that house is. It has several acres of property, so nobody's gonna peek in your windows.

I can see its attraction since I love being close to nature but for me a house has to welcome & enclose me. There is nothing cozy or inviting in that one. I'm a great fan of beautiful millwork & grace; historic houses make me very happy. This one has none of that. Can't imagine relaxing with a book there.

I would LOVE living in that glass house, but only if I could be absolutely certain no strangers could approach it day or night.

Ensuring this would nearly impossible without extraordinary security measures like high fences far away and out of view, monitored by a 24-hour security staff who themselves are somehow prevented from approaching the structure.

My only major tiff is it's only one room. Where's the bed? Where's the potty? Where's the kithen??

Eww no. Just think of the window washing you'd have to do!

I really like the idea of having a life that isn't set by material objects.. just the basics. For the past 4 months I have lived with only what can fit in a backpack. I am renting a furnished place with my boyfriend and he is doing the same as me. It is quite liberating not having all that stuff. But a house as simplified as the one you showed in the photo? mmmmm it's a little too cold for me... I wouldn't mind the same idea of big windows, minimal furniture.. but where do you sleep?! and where is the kitchen?!
