Ok, I woud definitly be to scared to swim in that (unless I had had a few drinks)!

Wantwantwant! How has no one thought of this before?

I just saw that on pinterest. Loooove it.

I imagine the maintenance people would have to be fearless!!
Pretty cool but yeah, I'd only feel comfortable if it was no higher than the 5th floor.

Id rather have more deck space than that provides but it's sure intreesting!

Wow- I'm terrified of heights so I don't know if I'd swim in it but it's neat.

Fab idea but I'm with those wary of heights - brrrrrrr. especially good idea for Mumbai - hot as heck there!

I looks great but I'm scared of heights too and it makes me feel tense!

I love it! It's definitely different.

Very cool concept, though I'm not feeling so confident in that glass wall holding all that water in, structurally reinforced or not, I'm too chicken! :errrr:
Did they mention if these are plans for Mumbai? I can't fathom it with their terrible pollution, blow your nose after a few hours in Mumbai, it's shocking :knockout:

It is one of those things that is much cooler to think about than to have. I can imagine the number of occasions you would actually get into it to be very rare. You can't actually fit too many guests - it would be like a largish freeform jacuzzi.

The actual development would have a nice glass boundary above the pool, not significantly high, just high enough. Anyway, it is actually ridiculously difficult to exit a pool with a flat platform at an uncomfortable height much less without a platform. You can't heave yourself over the side by accident.

The problems include maintenance (waterproofing every 2.5 years to maintain integrity else your ceiling would start to conduct water along different points into your balcony or horrors into your home), you can't leave your balcony open at any time if you have small children in the house, hence you lose one big point about a balcony anyway... On the flip side, it IS great for kids to play in under adult supervision though - you can have aquatic toddlers who will never get bored of splashing around and you never need to leave your apartment.

Am I thinking too much into this? I prefer some apartments with glass enclosed private pools (also smallish like this), but there is one locally, and it is selling very poorly. Probably cos they are very nice to admire, yet not something people are keen to own.

That could be due to maintenance. In my area, pools are considered a negative in real estate, it's a tool for buyers to negotiate sellers down.

Personally since it's not really big enough to swim in or anything, rather have a bigger deck with a hot tub in the corner.
Looks fabulously inpractical.
