It was, and I consider myself somewhat objective.

Congrats again to the Obama camp and all the PSers who voted for him.

And the Aussie $ has already regained about 4cents today - not sure if its all due to Obama, but I''m gonna attribute it to him anyways,

but am anxiously refreshing the L.A. County''s Registrar''s website to see what will happen with our propositions, particularly prop. 4 and 8. I''m hoping it''s gonna be no on both. No on 4 is currently holding a slim margin and No on 8 is behind by 6%. I gotta go to bed soon and am crossing my fingers that, when I wake up tomorrow, neither proposition will pass.

CONGRATULATIONS USA WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!
I am tears here too. I just said to my daughter"Remember this day. You will always remember where you were on the historical day" Both my kids have been enthralled and were texting me all day asking who won.
Just amazing.

It''s an exciting historical moment!

Congratulations!

I wish America great success under Obama. I hope there is a real change for the better.

BBC reported record voter turn out and this makes me very happy. As I am not American I kept out of the political debates but I was very impressed with the concern voters took in choosing, while I am of the opinion that voting is a duty, it is also a duty to be informed and not just a matter of filling in/ticking any box.

Not an American, but wanted to say congratulations to Obama and his family and supporters, congrats to democrats and congrats to all Americans! :)

I send condolences to McCain and his family and supporters as they must be feeling the disappointment but I also hope that they appreciate the historic moment this election has facilitated. I hope Obama will eventually "earn" their support as he said in his speech. Whatever his flaws may be, he seems to be an intelligent, thoughtful, inclusive and instrospective man who seems to understand the big picture. So congratulations to America!

I am SO proud of this nation! I can''t say that enough.

And I bet Michelle and Barack are having to pinch themselves. I just can''t imagine the emotions they are feeling.

I''m glad to see Obama win!
Not an American, but am finally glad or the pre-election hype has finished.
