Congratulations on being recognized for all your invaluable contributions on PS. Let us know how you''re going to spend that loot and remember to post pictures
Good Lord! Two threads of congratulations! It's almost more than a Gypsy can comprehend! You guys ROCK! Thank you so much Doodle for starting this thread, and for the wonderful note!
I'm am going to use the $$ toward our bands. And I promise to post them when we have them (which will be a few weeks as they need to be ordered to size)... and it's also going to be a few weeks because I have to pick what I want. Julian at Pearlmans is helping me and he's been great-- we are exploring a few options. I promise to update you all when I know what I'm getting! I do what the memoire, but unfortunately, I'm still not sure this is the right time. But it could be! We'll see!
I'm doing good mostly. Really moody... snappish, irritable, prone to tears and joy. A little weird honestly. But overall good. We're getting our marriage license today and I'm working from home. I thought that would mean I'd have a little time to breathe today, but it's actually more hectic than being at work. YIKES!
But, what can you do? The cats are happy about it though. I've been gone so much they've really been unhappy. Today Hally took the direct approach and mom-sat. Just sat right on my chest and refused to budge when the alarm went off.
How appropriate is this???? Awesome idea!!! Gypsy royally deserves all the kodos she''s receiving.
She is helpful in so many ways to so many people!!! I don''t think she realizes the scope of her abilities. Whether it''s a diamond for an e-ring, an opinion about a wedding dress or decorations for the actual wedding: Gypsy''s your go-to friend.
Her knowledge, coupled with her abundant real-life advice is right on the mark too. If someone needs a shoulder to cry on, or advice about a pet, Gypsy''s right there with sympathy when warranted and advice where needed.
Personally we bonded over the dream baguette halo setting that both of us thought we wanted for our asschers. She drew labelled diagrams showing me the difference between a baguette and a trap, and if that wasn''t enough she and Mara actually made the trip to Joe Escobar where she tried on the "real McCoy", but gave it a thumbs down.
Unlike some of us, Gypsy shares the bad times too as we all realize that we aren''t upbeat 100% of the time. This is our chance to offer advice that might be helpful...or not. Whichever it is, she feels compelled to comment and offer a thank-you to each poster by name (or username).
As you can see by all the posts here and in the "Jackpot" thread, we love you and wish you all the best life has to offer!!
Congrats Gypsy! I don''t post much--- but I always enjoy reading your encouraging posts.I can''t wait to see what band you end up going with
you sound a little stressed-- I can relate--- I was crying last night--- def bec of stress--- and i ended up crying when i was watching "so you think you could dance" lol
Oh, you guys keep making the water works flow, lol.
Thank you so much. And you are more than welcome for any help I''ve given... God knows you all have helped me ten-fold. This is a great place, and I love being here.
Isabel! You post was just so amazing. Honestly, you are such a great friend, and a very effective cheerleader. I am touched you think of me as a ''go-to'' friend and I hope I can always live up to that. I''ve been very self-absorbed recently and don''t think I''ve actually been that good a friend at all, but hopefully after the wedding things will settle down a bit. We did bond over the baguette halo, and I still have that ''diagram'' pic, it''s humorous for me cause it''s like a three year old''s drawing, but I''m glad it got the point accross. Thank you for the wonderful post honey. ((HUGS))
Hi Blinky... yeah, I do that too! Commercials. Oh man, I''ve a basket case. I admit to being stressed, but this thread, and the sister thread in the Hangout just make me smile and laugh and okay, sniffle. And it''s all good. John told me today that finances are on schedule for the wedding, we''re doing okay so that was a huge relief. All these large amounts of $$ being tossed about have been making me a little frazzled. I love you AV! ((HUGS)) to you too!
