Okay so.... I thought it would be fun to share stories of moments where we''ve lost site of sanity... good taste, good judgement, or good manners throughout what is a stressful process.

I''ll start. I confess to losing all semblance of good taste at 5 am last Sunday morning.

I was stressed b/c my MOH and only attendant had waited too long to order her gown, had to rush it at great expense as a result... and had decide instead to cancel the order and buy something off the rack. She''s picky and she''s just moved to Jackson and I have no idea how the shopping is there. SO at 5 am I was on ebay and it seemed like a good idea to bid on this BM dress listed.

Now. It''s orange. Bright burnt orange.

Satin.

With Rhinestones...

And a TAIL-like hem.

So... I thought... HEY... even out the hem, make some straps out of the fabric and it''ll be good to go.

So I bid. And won. The next day, having slept and rested... I logged on and viewed the dress. Let''s just say that it could easily have auditioned for one of the 28 dresses in the movie of that name.

For your viewing pleasure....

Fortunately, only 15 including shipping. I figure it will make a decent halloween costume. Maybe a sign that says "Bridezilla Victim." Haven''t received it yet... will post pics when I do. RFLMAO.

Hi Gypsy!!
I told you to get some sleep!!!!

I am an ebay addict too, but since joining PS my paypal acccount is a lot happier!
How is the job, as well as the commute. Oh, and how is everyone feeling?

hehe..dont ya love ebay..ya think ya like it, bid then win then go crap..hahha but its definitely fixable.. just shorten and add a pretty sash thats a little thicker maybe?? not bad though... what are your colors??

Yes. You did. LOL. Apparently I needed to buy someone a Halloween costume before going to sleep.

Job is okay. I''m getting a better idea of what''s going on and adjusting to it. I started doing some substantive work yesterday, instead od just reviewing stuff and training and that felt good.

Mom is the same, John is too pretty much. My shoulder is better, the predisone worked. Cats are improving which is nice.

How are things with you iluvcarats?

Yeah. I don''t normally get such big doozies and do manage to avoid the bigger errors by just watching the items.

I OUT BID someone for it too.

Colors are orange and green. But my MOH wasn''t able to cancel her order so the original dress I liked and picked out will be my MOH''s dress, which is going to be a nice classy black. I''m actually kinda happy that she wasn''t able to cancel. I like the like the original dress very much.

I''m sorry, but that looks like a dress I would expect to see in an *ahem* movie of the adult persuasion?!

It''s a medical fact that lack of sleep makes you lose your judgement, so lets just chalk it up to that hey

Everything is fine, although one dog is really not doing so great. She is 13.5 and really slowing down. She is deaf and mostly blind, and very stiff, but she is still wagging her tail and eating, so she has some quality of life. For how much longer though, I don''t know. She is *my girl* so it is going to be really hard.

My kids are good, although slowly driving me to the brink of insanity, but that is what kids do. My son turned 6 on 7/5, and for a while he''s wanted a drum set so, well, my house is now really LOUD. He is very cute though. He yells ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR and start banging like he is a real rockstar. He doesn''t understand why he can''t have a mohawk b/c "David Cook does..."

It''s all good. Can''t complain.

I am glad you are feeling better. I''ll keep my fingers crossed for John and your Mom!

Frap. Lost my post.

Honey, I plead insomnia. But I think you are on the right track. No apologies necessary. It''s just WRONG.

iluvcarats... I''m so sorry to hear your baby is declining. It seems like the blink of an eye that they''ve been with us sometimes. I know I feel that way about Duncan. They tell me at the vet how old he is and I''m like... that can''t be right, he''s a baby. Its so hard balance that attachment and emotion with thier quality of life, but I know from your post even though it will be painful you are watching her and will do the right thing for her when the time comes. ((HUGE HUGS))

You young son has a drum set. Sounds challengin... and loud. LOL. But very cute too. I''d let him get the mohawk. Then take lots of pictures. Lots of them. Just think the mileage you will get out of them when he''s older.
27.gif

I am feeling better! I hope your baby dog continues to show a positive quality of life. Thank you so much for the good wishes for mom and John.

Thanks for your kindness. She really is an integral part of our family.

We already have lots of incriminating photos, most of which I can''t post. My favorite is one when he he 3, playing his Wiggles guitar naked. I''ll save that one for when he is on American Idol! LOL Here is a cute, funny one. Have a good night!

Well, it could have tooooootally been a worse mistake financially!

I definitely think it will make a smashing Halloween getup, though.

It is quite stunning. (laughing while I type this). You can enter the Miss Pumpkin pageant in it.

OMG, I so needed that laugh!!

I''m sorry Gypsy, but I gotta say, you did lose it!!

On the other hand, I think your losing it was contagious, because after you posted a bunch of those black dress pictures, my daughter and I decided that we had to change her BM dresses to one of the dresses you posted, only they said they don''t ship until 8/15. That would be nearly one month after the wedding....so what did I do....

I ordered them anyway.
7.gif

So that was my losing it moment.
28.gif

Awww Gypsy... I think you have impecable taste in all things wedding related......but that...well if someone asked me to wear that for their wedding, I would have to love them a lot! But then, 15 dollars is probably the price of a quick coffee run so don`t feel that bad. It made me smile (although it made us smile, I doubt that was your intention though!)

Oh Gypsy...you are too funny. I''m not laughing at your decision to bid on the dress (and WIN!), but I''m laughing at your approach to explaining how it happened and how you regret it! lol

iluvcarats! That picture is hilarious and adorable!!

Three regrettable life moments:

1. Drunk dialing

2. Middle of the night bidding

3. 2a.m. infomercial charging

LOL, PP, I hate to admit it but that one always looks attractive at 2 in the morning!

omg. funny!

thank you for that MUCH needed laugh.

This is just too funny!!!! If it weren''t your and my dear John''s wedding
30.gif
, I''d made her wear that freakin'' dress; it would serve her right after dragging her sorry *ss all this time.....and it does fit in with your colour scheme.

Gypsy..

...no more 5 am purchases for you! I am honestly, not feeling the dress. But I feel you on the insomnia. FI''s snoring is OUT OF CONTROL and I found myself writing my personal statement for law applications at 4 am this morning..I have a feeling it was a lot worse than it sounded in my head at the time. Good thing I didn''t write my random philosophical thoughts down...wait maybe I did..

Ditto, I start watching them sometimes and I am like hmmmm..that one looks good. Does that actually work? I could use a magic brush like that to clean the hard-water stains building up on my tub..wow..that would work..hmmmm..

Em....glad you''ve reconsidered

hey now, just for the record, that Ped-Egg thing they advertise all the time for buffing up your feet is a freaking MIRACLE...and Gypsy, if it makes you feel any better, my FI and i spent an OBSCENE amount of money last night buying clothes, and after his buyer''s remorse kicked in, i tried to justify all of them as "a honeymoon expense" haha.

No, but it's not too dissimilar, I guess... it's darker and shiner, strapless, but full length. And no rhinestones

I think the only problem with the one Gypsy bought is the funky hemline. Well that, and I don''t know many people who could pull off pumpkin orange (I can''t!) but I think your MOH dress sounds lovely. Do you have pics posted anywhere?
