Has she had it before? If so, then this reactivation is generally known as Zoster, and I can''t really say it has much to do with vaccinations since everyone who has had chicken pox or the vaccine has a chance of getting Zoster reactivation when they are older. I wasn''t really aware that chicken pox was ever away enough to "come back", I''m not sure it''s on the list of "required/standard childhood immunizations" like MMR or pertussis, but correct me if I''m wrong.
If she herself had never had chickenpox, did she get vaccinated as an adult?
