I'm a synthesizer nut- have you tried the filters and envelope?

I know very little about synthesizers so I was impressed that I could just make noise with it! DH is a musician and big fan of Moog and Nord. I was bragging that I figured out how to use it but he put me to shame by practically producing an original piece on it.

It's amazing what you can produce with a synthesizer.
