Happy Happy Chanukah (and various spellings!) everyone. I''ll be lighting the first candle tonight with DH and chowing down on latkes and sour cream. then latkes and apple sauce. and loukoumades. YAY! Anyone with me? Put your sweats on
Hey cello! Happy Hanukkah back atcha! We''ll no doubt venture to the local Jewish deli for some latkes and blintzes...and yeah, I''ll have to work out double time manana!
it''s means happy chag sameach (holidays happy-- happy holidays). . . . chanukah sameach (happy chanukah) i used to teach at gan sameach (happy garden)
Chanukah sameach to you too, Cello! (And to everyone else, of course!)
I just got home from grad school (after driving for over an hour in the horrible Chicago snow) and wolfed down some delish latkes with sour cream and apple sauce. YUM!
It was so nice to see your post--I''m the only Jewish person in my grad school class AND in my department at work, so it felt so un-festive all day. Lit the candles and said the brachot all alone, too, because it''s too late for me to go anywhere but home.
Happy Chanukah to you and all others too! I am one night behind already on lighting the candles so I have to go dig out the menorah tonight. We usually have latkes when celebrating with my mom and brother''s family so I can''t wait. I have to learn to make them like she does b/c they are one of my favorite things (with applesauce of course!).
Enjoy the holiday.
