Wedding Ceremony Decorations

I need help with ideas for decorations during my ceremony. My ceremony and reception are both being held in a big art warehouse. I hired a decorator who is decorating all the huge columns with lights and tulle. She is creating all the centerpeices out of red amaryllis with big tall square vases. She will be making two huge floral displays for both sides of our ceremony arch. I bought a monogrammed aisle runner to walk down.. however I need ideas for ways I can decorate the aisles of chairs. I don''t think the chairs have a spot where I could tie something on to the one on the end. I thought about a candle at the end of each row, on a stand.. but is that really safe? I don''t know what I can do.. Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated!!

On the candle thing, FH and I were recently at a wedding where a bridesmaid''s dress/hair caught on fire when she tripped on her way up the aisle, and he had to put her out! Now that I think about it, it makes me laugh a little, but it was so scary at the time. I think that candles on stands are just asking for trouble--what if a little kid starts playing with the flame or something?

What about pomanders? You can put them on the floor on the aisle runner (I''ve seen them tied to the bottom of chairs), or hang them off of pews with tape, or affix them in some other way.

Rose petals also do a lot for the aisle area, in my opinion. It gives it a simple-but-festive look.

I have seen large hooks like the ones that go out in a garden to hold a lantern, but they are free standing (don''t drive into the ground). I think if you could find those you hang an enclosed candle holder or vase with flowers.

HIL - that idea sounds good. but I cant picture what you''re talking about! where can i see a pic? and where would i buy something like that!!

also - the rose petal idea sounds good for the aisle runner. can you buy just rose petals online i wonder? we were actually going to make our signature cocktail hour drink have edible rose petals on top (looked very pretty and modern) but we couldn''t get them in december. bummer.

WOW. That is beautiful!! I absolutely love the way that looks! We are only having at most 8-10 children out of 150 people so I think it could work! I wonder if I could find that many cylinder candle holders for a reasonable price though? I will have to see what I can find!

these but I would have to rent different chairs to tie these onto I think!

I found all of my vases at Hobby Lobby during one of their 50-75% off sales. If you keep looking you can find good deals. Also, I had chair flowers exactly like the link you posted and they were beautiful. After the ceremony, we moved them to the cake table so you can get multiple uses out of them.
