Mom put together this centerpiece (outside wedding vineyard theme).

I really like it, but I am not sure about it. What do you think?

...

This is what I had envisioned, but I am not sure about the flower.

iwanna, I love it! It looks perfect!

I really like it, especially the flower. The only thing I would change would be, would it be possible to add some vines/greenery in the vase around the candle?

This is how I feel too...

iwanna, I think it looks beautiful. What a great idea! The flower that your mom used is towards the end of its prime. Usually those stargazer lilies, when fresh, are not as spread out like that. Hopefully one of the flower experts on PS will know how sturdy this flower is out of water.

Also whenever I get stargazer lilies, I use a wet paper towel to remove the stamens (the powdery rust colored things in the middle) when the flower buds open. They''re quite yucky and they will stain your hands and fabrics.

But I think you and your mom did a great job.

It''s perfect! I love it!

I like it but I think maybe the lily is throwing me off a little? It''s tropical and seems unrelated to the vineyard idea. How about a golden sunflower, or a deep burgundy coxcomb?

Seemed too exotic to me too. Cox comb? I''ll google it! Thanks!

I think it's nice for a vineyard reception but I hear you on the flower...but I think it's the type of flower, as well as volume/placement of fruit. I think big fat roses (think dark red black beauties) go better with fruit for a vineyard theme because roses are lush and fruit can be lush looking as well, if that makes sense. I also would include some pomegranates, plums, maybe green grapes?, and make some areas higher than others to give it more visual interest and depth. Does that make sense? Otherwise I think it looks nice...Maybe you could add in some springs of curly willow as well?

Your Mom is great!

Hmmm..I agree the only things I would change would be maybe different flower and the greenery sounds like a great idea also. Maybe a single vine kind of woven throughout. OR! What about a glass hurricane with a vine design on it? That would be gorgeous!
