Sorry, didn''t want to threadjack your Pronovias thread again. Is your engagement ring posted? I found your thread where you were meeting with Leon but couldn''t find anything after that. It sounds like you were considering a ring similiar to the one that I ended up with! I initially wanted a cushion with pave halo but went with a solitaire - kinda. I''ll post pics when I get them back from Mark.

My sleuthing paid off, sorta! I found glloyd's CAD thread. Can I say that cushion is STUN-NING! I love the miligrain knife-edge shank. Your FI did an awesome job!

I was just telling him on the phone how interesting I thought that it was that we had similar feel dresses and similar feel rings - it''s funny that taste translates across the board to so many things. Now I want to see your venue, invitation, and flower choices! It would save me so much work.

He will be really pleased that you liked his ring. He worked on it for months . . . months of me begging, PLEASE just give me the frickin ring already.

So... would you believe our ceremony will be (hopefully - I've put in a request but it's not confirmed yet!) in a little chapel by the sea? I'm also hoping to do my hair similar to the photo of Michelle Williams posted on your thread.
Our reception will be outside - we're doing a destination wedding in Mexico.

We haven't picked out invites yet but I think we have our STDs set. Still not sure yet on the flowers, but I like bright, tropical colours.

Our date is May 16th, 2009 - arghh; I really hope the chapel is available.

Oh my gosh, that is stunning! Where is it located? We are looking at Cabo for honeymoon.

Fiance really wanted to do non-tropical for wedding. We live in Florida so there was an appeal in doing something different. But, there is a big part of me that wishes we were still going that route. I do love the venue we picked though. It''s a nice compromise between beach and resort. Plus, SC is only four hours from Florida so I''m hoping that will eliminate some of my destination stress.

Wow, I LURVE that chapel; it''ll be a beautiful backdrop to your wedding. I''m assuming the resort will host your reception as well? What''s the weather like in SC in December? Five months away; you must be excited!

Our venue''s in Playa del Carmen. We were looking at Cabo''s venues but since most of our guests will be coming from Ontario, Canada and NY, PdC made more sense.

If you''re interested in the Mayan Riviera resorts, lemme know. I''ve read way too much info about this location.

Also, I''ve been looking more into Playa Del Carmen since you posted. Can you tell me how it compares to Cabo? Not like, which one is better or worse or anything, just why people choose one or the other (if you know). I had mainly only heard about Cabo but Playa Del Carmen looks amazing.

Hey Maggie!

You weren''t kidding when you said our rings were similar. The baskets look identical!

We''re going with the Mayan Riviera (Playa Del Carmen) mainly because we wanted a resort with a swimmable beach. A lot of the resorts in Cabo have beautiful beaches but the surf is too rough for swimming. Also, flights to Cancun Airport are direct for us and our guests (and a bit cheaper too).
