Can't log into PS on a new iPhone 6S

I was able to up right after I got it for a few days until I cleared out cookies and websites. I think I may have also changed something related to cookies or other settings when I went in there. Now I can get to the screen and put in my user name and password but when I hit "log in" it doesn't work.

On CNN I also can't read full stories now. I hit the "read more" button and nothing happens. I suspect these things are somehow the result of me making the same change, but I don't know what I did.

Can any tech savvy peeps tell me how to fix this...?

I've had that problem when on my computer after clearing cookies. I had to check setting to accept all cookies. Hope that helps.

I am sure you're right Siv, it has something to do with the cookies setting! The frustrating part is I can't figure out what I did so I can UNdo it! I will have to figure this out though because in addition to just posting on PS, often times posting *pics* directly from my phone is the easiest way for me to do it (and also the only way I can post multiple pics in a single post).

Technology is not Dee's friend...

No worries, I appreciate your input about the cookies! The CB is more technically inclined than I am (hell -- a Boston fern is more technically inclined than I am... ) so when he gets done making me coffee I'm going to get him on the case!

I had this issue recently on my phone too (Android). I kept logging in, but whenever I would go to a forum I'd be automatically logged out again.

What finally worked for me was going to the login screen (where it somehow knew I was logged in), and logging out. Then when I logged back in I was able to go to forums and stay logged in.

Not sure if this will work for you, but if you try logging all the way out does it help? Or does the login button just not work at all?

I see the "login to Pricescope here" link at the top of the page. When I click on that it goes to the screen and my user name and password are already populated (my password is all *****s, but it's populated). I even pick the "remember me" box, but when I hit log in it takes me back to the main page of PS and I'm not logged in. The CB is looking at it now but he says my cookie setting should be OK...???

Yes, he's pretty good at this stuff. He just tried both allowing cookies for the current website and also allowing all cookies and it still does the same thing. I have to go to the Sprint store today to get a screen protector (they were out of the glass ones when I bought my phone, and I prefer those over the plastic ones) and I will ask them for some advice.

There's a sticky at the top of Hangout that talks about having trouble logging in, but it doesn't mention iPhone. I just got the 7+ this week and had no problem logging in a minute ago. Try the suggestion in the sticky and if that doesn't work report concern and see if mods can help you out.

Yes! That is exactly what happened to me! And when I logged out on the login screen (even tho it was already populated), it worked when I signed in again. I'd try that and see what happens.

The first thing I would do is to restart your phone. If you've done that already:

Are you accessing Pricescope and CNN via the Safari browser? Check that you're not using Private Browsing ("Private button in the lower left; usually the Safari window bar is darker).

If that doesn't fix it, check that Safari accepts cookies. Go to Settings > Safari (in the 5th grouping with Mail, Contacts, etc...) > Block Cookies > Allow from Websites I Visit or Always Allow.

If you want, you can also set Safari to remember and autofill passwords. Settings > Safari > Autofill > Names and Passwords

If you are on an App and you've already restarted it, I suggest deleting then reinstalling. Sometimes the app or an update is corrupted; I find a reinstall is the easiest fix.

Kenny, I did have a paranoid moment the other day and think something along those lines, LOL. Not necessarily about PS specifically, but just about "them" knowing! And I'm not sure exactly who "them" is, but my father makes reference to THEM all the time!

Lovedogs and t-c, I've been "reset to factory settings" and now everything seems to work fine...??? The Sprint guy looked at everything and had no idea because all the settings should have been OK for what I wanted, but obviously they were NOT! Anyway, I'm all good now (until the next thing breaks, LOL).
