), and my fiance!!!! It''s all I can think about at work, at home, driving, etc. etc. etc. I am wondering if I will go through serious wedding withdrawal after all of this!! We''ve been together almost 5 years and I know it''s all about the marriage and not the wedding day, but I am just so damn excited about our wedding day!! And I can''t concentrate!! Just wondering if I''m crazy or just crazy excited...!!

Muffin, you''re NORMAL! Of course you are excited! Yes, I would guess you will go thru serious wedding planning withdrawl once all the excitement is over. I would plan another project to focus your energy on...maybe making photobooks for your friends of your favorite wedding photos. Maybe decorating your new home, if you''re moving in together someplace new. Maybe researching and planning a fun weekend trip six months from wedding, to a place you''ve never been but always wanted to visit (planning my next vacation, even if it''s a year away, always helps for me!) .

The thing is to give yourself some great new thing to look forward to, to ease the transition into "regular" life after all the wedding hoopla.

Ditto. Working is even a stretch I hav Bride Brain! 38 days left!

I just started planning my wedding last week, don''t even have a date yet and I can''t think of anything else!

I''m doing the same thing, Muffin. I feel kind of manic and sped up because my brain is racing around so much wedding-related stuff.

I''ve been engaged for 10 months now (and with my fiance for almost 4 years), but took some time off from planning to finish my masters thesis. I''m just figuring out a dress and it is overwhelming! It''s really helpful to just try to finish one task at a time instead of working on 4 tasks and feeling like nothing is getting accomplished. For example, when I was looking at music vendors, I looked at all of them in a row before moving onto looking at florists. Then everything was fresh in my mind and I was able to make a decision more easily. Good luck!

I think I''m kind of the opposite. I have been engaged for a year and a half, and I was soooooo excited when we first got engaged. It was surreal and all I could think about was "I''m getting married!!"

But now I''m 16 days away from the wedding and I''m stressed, exhausted, and just waiting for the Big Day to come so I can stop having to worry about planning! I think I overloaded myself right in the beginning. Heh.

Thank you so much!! I totally just needed to hear that I''m normal and not crazy obsessive, haha!
That''s a great idea to give myself new projects...like doing a beautiful wedding album for my fiance and I! And maybe I can put together a couple for our parents too!! We got a fantastic deal on a very high end photographer, so I decided to do our album myself. We have all the rights to the pictures so it will be cheaper and I can make it exactly how I want! I''m crafty ;D
We''ve already been living together for almost 3 years and we just redecorated the house...but I am going to keep on with my working out (new hobby I somehow developed about a month ago when I realized it was almost W-Day!!) and we have two dogs to keep us busy. I just feel like I''m constantly thinking and talking about this wedding so what happens when it''s over?? But what happens is we get to go on a fabulous honeymoon and come back home very happily married :D.
Thanks so much!!

That is exactly what I mean!!!!!! Working is a stretch!!!! I''m at work and I''m on here, theknot.com, looking at our wedding webpage, emailing with vendors......still doing my job too obviously, but I am constantly thinking "wedding wedding wedding wedding!!!!!" 42 days........!!

Muffin, I am not getting married for 13 MONTHS and I waste at least half my day at work with wedding planning stuff. I am falling behind...need to stop...

That''s how it is!! When you first get engaged there is so much to do so you are constantly doing research and thinking wedding wedding wedding...then there is a long lull...and now we''re getting to crunch time!! I feel like I did when we were newly engaged, crazy excited about the wedding and thinking about it constantly!!
