Okay. Got another call from a better, larger and public company. VERY excited. Would have to move to either San Fran or Berkeley area, but that shouldn''t be a problem.

It''s amazing how good this can make you feel. REALLY good.

You definitely need to get away from your terrible boss before she brings you down further. If it helps any, I HATE her too. She sounds like a horrible train wreck of a human being. UGH.

It''s sad, but she really is. She''s got a LOT of problems. I just got a merit raise at work, and she made sure to tell me that SHE and HER BOSS didn''t agree with how high a percentage I was given, ESPECIALLY as it''s a higher percentage than SHE was given. Fortunately, I had just recieved my first phone call for another job and I just didn''t care. At all.

I really pray something better comes along, and I can LEAVE. I know with your support and prayers, and dust... it WILL happen. I believe in the power of PS.

You ask and we deliver. I too believe in the power of PS. It's done wonders for many. So GOOD luck, fairy dust your way, you have great things on the horizen. That's very lucky, not everyone has that. But you are so talented, and deserving.

Jas, It''s sad but I was SO RELIEVED that the hiring manager for one of the jobs that contacted me is a man. I thought... WHEW, I''m not sure I want to work for another woman. Which is not fair, there ARE great woman bosses. I KNOW that, but I''m just gun shy. I was day dreaming on the way to work about all the things I would LIKE to say to her IF I get another job and leave. I probably won''t. She obviously has a lot of problems, and well... it''s inevitable that karma will get her. Thank you for the support and the frequent check ins! How are things with you??

If they asked, I would refer them to General Counsel or my VP. I don't think she would give me a good review. She NEVER compliments me. And lies about me all the time, even when it's of no benefit to her. I have other (better) employment references than her. I would prefer to use those, and tell them that my immediate superior doesn't know that I am looking, and given the volatile nature of our industry at the moment, I'd rather not put a target on my back for lay offs if nothing is going to come of it.
