Can you spare some job dust?

I interviewed Tuesday for a wonderful job. I''m finishing my PhD in May, and have been applying to non-academic jobs. So far, I''ve applied to 30 and no luck with any of the applications.

The interview lasted 8 hours! I talked with 17 different people. I get the vibe that it was going extremely well. I got along well with everyone, and I would be really excited to work with them.

At the end of the interview, they said they would email me on Monday to schedule a phone call on Monday or Tuesday to discuss the job. Apparently I am the only person they are interviewing.

This job would be amazing, and I really hope they think I''m a good fit. It is perfect for my experiences and skill set, and has great promotion potential.

If you can spare a little dust for my conversation tomorrow, I would really appreciate it!!!

I know!! It went from 10am to 6pm. I was completely exhausted.

I am also finishing my PhD this year and completely understand what it is like to keep the motivation up to finish your dissertation amidst constant rejection and painful waiting. An interview, though, is a wonderful thing! I will be hoping for the best for you!
