I previously interested in a 0.70ct and paid for it and today we just reach an agreement on the setting. At the same time, today I saw a different stone, bigger (0.90ct) and affordable and would like that stone instead of my already-paid stone.

My question is will the vendor allow me to do that? I called them but they are gone home already. I guess I can wait till tomorrow but I thought maybe a pricescopers has done it before and would like to know what happen?

Please help me get through another sleepless night. Thanks!!!!

It depends on the vendor. Which vendor did you buy from? Are you within the return period? Do they have an upgrade policy? Check their website for this info.

For most vendors this shouldn''t be a problem assuming they still have the stone and are waiting to set it. It might be a problem if the setting won''t fit the stone and they already started it. But cross that bridge when you get to it.

Depends on the vendor....you''ll have to check with their policies.

They have 21 day return policy and I am still within that because just pay for it like two days ago. They haven''t started on the setting yet as it just begin as a concept only. The whole project will start after they receive my setting payment which I haven''t send yet.

I guess I will find out tomorrow. Another sleepless long night for me.

No need to lose sleep. If it''s a reputable vendor who stands by thier policys a 21 return policy is just that. You don''t need to justify you change of heart, you just don''t want the stone anymore, whatever your reason. The most you are likely to be out (and depending on the vendor you may not even have to worry about that) is shipping if its already been sent out. It''ll be fine. Just like returning anything else.

I''d say it should be fine too. Especially if they haven''t started on the setting.

''They'' say worrying is like chewing gum; it gives you something to do, but it does not achieve anything.

This is very true in your case. Send the vendor an e-mail to stake your claim on the .90 and wait until they reopen. It will all be ok.

I haven''t talked to my vendor yet. Apparently they are also close for the weekend. What would you do if its sold already? I hate myself being so indecisive like this. I guess I just have to be happy with my first choice.

If it''s sold already then I doubt there''d be much you could do apart from either look for a similar .90ct or keep the one you originally bought.

If you have the money for a .90, I would return the other stone regardless and get the one you are looking at or look for another if it is sold.

You don't know if it is sold. So E-mail them (and perhaps leave a voicemail at the office) to stake your claim.
Now...hop to it. (Go on... I'm watching you...

If they have an online system and you have $$$$ available you could buy it online. So you will have bought 2 stones in practice, then return the 1st.*

If you have set yoru heart on the .90 then do everything in your power to secure it. If you miss out for some reason then you cannot kick yourself.

(* ETA: assuming you are correct in your interpretation of the return policy)

I actually bought it online yesterday. Let''s see what happen. Feel so low now, my jeweler is close for the weekend so can''t have him confirm it. So, its waiting again for me.

So have you technically bought both? But the .90 purchase is not confirmed yet?

If so you are laughing. I''m sure it will be fine.
