As you all know, I am heading to Kansas City! I put my house on the market on Monday, and I've had six showings so far and four more scheduled between now and tomorrow. So the response has been very positive, but I never start to believe in any deal until I actually have a contract and an earnest money check in my hand (and even then...). I think I'm priced right, and the house shows very well, but we all know the market that we're in!

Any dust you can spare will be MUCH appreciated! And as a true PSer I have to add: The less I have to spend on having two places is more I can spend on ***bling***! :cheeky:

***DUST*** ***DUST*** ***DUST***

Sending you lots of dust deejay for a quick and easy sale and all the best on your move to Kansas City!!! Now I have that song about Kansas City on my mind LOL.

Lots of dusts coming your way!!!
Good luck on the sell!!!

Lots of ~*~DUST~*~ to you, DeeJay!

Sending lots of house selling dust your way!

Here's some house *DUST* coming your way!!

good luck DJ!! :wavey:

And in keeping with all of the things that go wrong when you're trying to sell a house, the carpet installers were supposed to be here between 8:30 and 9:30. At 10:00 I called to see when they would be arriving. Somehow I "didn't make it onto the schedule today." WTF?!?!? So first they said they would come tomorrow morning at 9:00, which won't work because I have showings at 9:30 and 10:00, and then they called back and said they just sent the truck out from the 'burbs with instructions to "rush" to my house. They should be here in an hour. That would be OK, but I have a showing here in TWO HOURS. This is the sort of thing that makes people stay put in their houses for so damn long! :angryfire:

Vent over -- sorry!

Good luck! I hope you get a quick sale at a good price. Sending sale and carpet dust your way.

Well, carpet dust sounds funny. Nobody wants dust in the carpet, but you know what I mean. ;))

Lots of dust for a quick sell and a smooth move.

I just made a bloody mary. I'm not kidding.

They haven't even finished one bedroom yet. There is another bedroom, two walk in closets, a hallway and staircase to go. And I've got another showing in an hour and fifteen minutes. Double

Hang in there, DJ. Dust, dust, dust! You're in the hardest part now and when you're through it, you'll have some relative peace...

So how'd it go, Dee Jay?

Are you planning on buying in KC right away or renting for a while?

Loads and loads of dust to you, Dee*Jay!!!!

Tons of dust coming your way, DeeJay.

Lots of dust to you and I can't wait to hear more about your KC move as it's still near and dear to my heart.

lots of dust for a quick sale and a smooth move!!

GAH! I hate to say it but I'm sad! That house is SO perfect and situated in such a great spot, I hate to see you leave it! While I want good things for you, I hate to see you give that up oasis spot!

Best of luck! Mwah!

Dust for you!

I think PS helped us sell our place, so I pass that on to you! :wavey: :wavey:

Well the carpet went in nicely, and the guys even did away with that crazy Nordic Trac that's been gathering dust in the second bedroom for who knows how long now, so I consider that $1984 well spent!

BUT... as of last night the air conditioning on the first and second floor has decided not to work. It blows, but it's blowing hot air. And I have a showing here in just over an hour. It's 81 degrees in my dining room right now, according to the the thermostat. SUPER...

Alj, I promise to do my best to find a place that you'll like just as much when you come to visit me next time!

Thanks everyone else for the dust and well wishes. I'm sure there will be more trauma drama to share with you as this goes on... ACK.

Oh.. it can only get better! Fingers crossed this is the worst that you'll have to face in your move experience!

Good luck dust for a rapid sale and a beautiful new home in your new town!

Sending dust for a quick sale and an inexpensive fix for the air conditioning.

Dust sweetie!

Here's hoping all goes well - listing and showing a home can be so nerve wracking!! I know you know this from being in the business but when it's your home. . . pressure!

I got TWO offers on my house this morning!!! One was too low, but the other was from someone who lives in my complex already (but not in a townhouse) and missed out on another townhouse that came for sale about six months ago. He is a builder and we agreed on a price that doesn't require me to even paint or do any of the other stuff I was planning on doing. Still waiting to see the contract and an earnest money check, but if all goes well we will close a the beginning of July.

Holy cow--I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this works out!!!

Wow, DeeJay, that's great news! I hope everything works out with the sale. The buyer certainly sounds motivated.

Sending more house selling dust your way for hassle-free inspection and closing.

ARGH--air conditioning guy just called. They did a leak test and I need a new condenser unit. $2,200 and it will take 5-10 business days. I don't care about the $, but the long time frame is annoying.

That was really quick, Dee Jay! I hope things continue to go well before your move.

So hoping you get a contract and can close on schedule! Boo about the AC though but soon you will have all of this behind you. I probably missed an update but did you find a place in KC?

Hi I'm hoping that you're still on track, since I saw in the GTG thread that you were waiting to have contracts sent to you in Vegas for you to sign...more dust your way!
