How are you? and how is your partner?* Is he home yet? I hope he's doing better.

kenny, my DH is looking for a camera bag for traveling...any suggestions as to name brands he should look at? Or any specific bags if maybe you've found one you like. Although I know these are really subjective, like everything else I guess. He ordered a few different kinds online and none of them were quite right.

Hi, thanks for asking.
He's home, but will be a very ill and disabled man for the rest of his life.
He refuses to make lifestyle and diet changes so I watch him suffer and decline.
He gets angry when I make suggestions or try to get involved.
I'm trying to take his car keys away.
He's a hazard to public safety not to mention himself ... but that's another huge fight.
Nuff said! Don't really want to talk more about it, but again thanks for asking.

Everyone who knows all the details tell me to leave him, but here I am.
Please all, no more posts about this.

Sorry, I have no idea about camera bags.
I've never bought one because I get a free one every few years when I upgrade my camera body.

If I was shopping, I'd just look for comparison reviews videos on Youtube.

As far as the camera bags, OK. I'm sure he did some comparison reviews. Maybe he's looking for something that just doesn't exist or he needs to be OK with something that isn't 100% just like he wants it.

FWIW, two vendors I like are B&H and Adorama, both in NYC.

If I were him I'd call them and explain what I own and how much protection is needed.
For example, if he's got $25,000 of gear that needs to be checked as baggage he needs X.
If he's got $400 in gear that he'll carry on, he'll need Y.

Also some camera bags are for working photographers, as in fast access to everything in the field.
Others are more for safer storage, but with slower access.

FWIW, camera bags are major crime targets.
They make some that do not look like camera bags, especially when carried by foreigners.
I'd ask about those.

That's a good idea, I don't think he had ever considered calling a store that actually deals with camera equipment and asking them for ideas based on what he's trying to do.

CJ, have you looked at Lo & Sons camera bag? I travel with the OG and have been really happy with it.
