Last weekend, on our visit to NYC, we booked a Rabbi for our ceremony. During our discussion he mentioned that we needed plain(no stones) w-bands for the ceremony.

Did you have the same restriction? If so, did you borrow a band, get a throw away, or do you wear an extra plain band?

FI''s band will be plain, but I was planning to have a blingy one...

Most people buy a plain band for the ceremony and then you can wear whichever one you want later.

The plain band idea is great for other reasons too. I know a lot of us with bling don''t like to travel with it because of the threat of loss or theft. A plain band can be used for the times when you want to wear something but you don''t want to go all out. Like to the beach, hiking, skiing, gardening, traveling, etc....

Thanks! I was planning on getting a plain band for times when wearing bling would not be a good idea. I think I''ll just get a really thin (1mm) band and wear it with the rest of my set.

Now if only I could a blingy band that works with my e-ring
