Calling iLander...

iLander, I would not be bothering you, but I lost one of two Mahenge spinel earrings. I put them on today, in the morning. It was on when I was styling my hair and I never checked it later. I refueled my car's gas tank, drove my kid to a new camp (meaning parking my car at a private parking lot, getting into the school and taking him into a library), drove to my work, got out of the car, walked inside the building, and got into my office. I realized I lost it in about one hour. All I could do was trace all my movements in the office, in the building and check around the car. It was not seen in the car, although I did not give it a 3d degree search. It is a hot-pink oval cut stone, I have a thread about the earrings somewhere. I called the camp and the gas station. So far, no calls back although I offered a compensation.

Any help will be appreciated. The earrings are 2.46 and 2.63 ct., I believe the material is getting scarce.

All I get is a white shirt. Were you wearing a white shirt? Where did you take it off?

I am wearing a striped sort of shirt... it probably looks more white than black... Let me go to the closet and check there.

I feel like it slipped down into your shirt, then it went somewhere else from there. Maybe when you went to the restroom? I feel like it clung for a long time, then slid . . . and I see white.

I dunno . . . kinda frustrating. . .

Yes, it WAS in the restroom/bathroom, in my own house! BTW, the bathroom is white. I was wearing a very light (salad) robe, you could call it white, and I put the earrings in the pocket, and I think, perhaps after I took a shower, it did slid out of the pocket. I lost the upper part, the loop, but it is OK,the melee was cheap anyhow and I wanted to change the loops. Great job, iLander, you can not imagine how happy I was to find it there! Look, I could have lost it anywhere, when I tracked all my movements that day, it could have been anywhere, but it DID end up in the bathroom. THank you, million kisses

On a completely unrelated note, I've been jonesing for that Chanel polish, Skyline, ever since you mentioned it many months back. I keep checking the website and polish fangirl websites to see if it's been released yet, as one of the indicated release dates was supposed to be July second. (It's so bad that I found myself purchasing that new chrome blue Essie put out to tide me over.... ) If you or your daughter see it in your local boutique, can you let me know?

I see what you mean, I tried poking around on the web and couldn't find it anywhere! Which nail fan sites do you go to?

Have you tried that new Magnetix nail polish? It's really kind of awesome. They have it at Rite Aid, or you can buy it from this website; http://www.prettywomanusa.com/index2.html The green one has a really dramatic color change, my DD likes that one best.

I'll let you know if I see it anywhere, have you tried calling the nearest Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, all that? I hate it when companies make promises they can't keep.

iLander, today I found the hoop on the carpet in my bedroom! So the earring must have really clung to the robe, then the lower part slid when I got into a bathroom, and the hoop remained attached to the robe till it slid on the floor. Probably, at the moment when I was putting on my white-and-black jacket. So now both hoops are there, although I am going to buy something that is safer. Amazing talent you have, and thank you for your support!
