Hi iLander

I was wondering if I could bother you for some help?

I've lost my old engagement ring setting. I was looking for it this morning (I thought it was in a ring box on my bedside table) and I can't find it anywhere.

I'm so angry with myself..... I think I may have sucked it up in the vacuum cleaner at some point.

Are you able to see if it is gone so I can stop obsessing over it?

I was planning on selling the setting as scrap gold this week.

I agree with Madelise, I love the magic that iLander can do, thru cyberspace even! Eager to read what she posts, when she pops in.

In the mean time, using my mere mortal thought process, could it have been caught in the sheets when changing for laundry? or slipped behind a piece of furniture? in a drawer? fell under the bed? Did you put it away by accident thinking 'this is completely logical and I'll never forget where I put it" (not that I know anyone who's ever made such a statement.... ) or did you put it your purse already knowing you were going next week to the jeweller??

Those are just the kinds of things I would do, so I thought I'd share - maybe something will trigger a memory Good luck HOT!

Interesting, because it was in a small ziplock bag in a box on its own but the box is empty and the ziplock back was next to my bed. I'll go through my jewelry box again to see if it's caught up in something.

No, it's not only jewelry, it's all kinds of things. Sometimes I see people's missing animals. Once, this was a sad thing. . . I didn't mention it . . .

I see a narrow, red space for the key, like a pocket or between two things. The key slides right in there. Then there's a green blobby thing . . . ?

I love your descriptions. You know I'm a total believer, and it must be so frustrating for you that you don't know what the "green blobby thing" is, but I still love that you put it out there...

It is very frustrating, it's like seeing something in your peripheral vision while whizzing by it at 70 MPH. It's too quick for me to make it out, or really even see it. So the person with the lost item has to be a little creative and imaginative in looking to try find the thing I see. Because that's the best I can do.

And I've decided to throw it all out there, because when I hold back, I've realized later that there were clues that I should have mentioned. Sometimes they really do sound goofy, like when I told one person that I saw so many spoons, like dozens. Turns out she collected spoons, and had tons of them.

I've figured out, after all this "practice", that it depends a LOT on the person who asks for the thread, too. I think what's happening is that I'm seeing through them, and without cooperation I really can't see at all. I don't remember who it was, but one person asked for something and then I felt that I was being deliberately blocked. I was right, because she admitted later in the thread that this whole thing spooked her and she was resisting. I can also tell when someone is a bit scattered in their approach to life, they feel very "scattered".

I'm pretty sure that everyone can do this, though. The idea is to not "try". If you "try" it doesn't work, you just have to assume that you can do it, because of course you can.

iLander, if you don't mind, do you get any sort of vibe as to what happened to my toddler's shorts? LOL, it's not a big deal but I'm just really curious where they went--his grandparents had them in the bottom of his stroller when they took him for a walk, and when they came back, the shorts were gone. I'm assuming they fell out during the walk and someone picked them up and kept them. Thanks!
