I''ve been looking for a while for wedding shoes, and haven''t found anything that I want to wear

Here''s my short list of criteria:

1. They must be flat or have a very low heel, about an inch

2. I would prefer colorful shoes (think Pucci), but if there''s something fabulous in a shade of Ivory that would work too (I''ll just wear peacock feathers as my headpiece

)

3. Pink satin ballet slipper look alikes (not the plain ballet flat you''d see in bridal shops) would be lovely.

4. I would prefer if they criss cross at the ankle -- tie up would work for this too. They need to be able to stay on my foot.

5. They absolutely have to be comfortable.

6. I would like either closed toe or peep toe. This is negotiable.

I think that''s it. No wonder I can''t find wedding shoes.

That doesn''t sound too bad. What size do you wear and what''s your budget?

Ooh Gypsy, those are gorgeous!

Freke - I''m a size 8. I''d like to stay below $200, but perhaps I can squeeze out another hundred :)

Oh, forgot to add... I don''t want a pointy toe. There, I think I''m done w/ criteria.

Ooh, I really like #1. Love #2, but they''re out of my budget

K. I''m doing my search but I just had to drop these two because they are so much fun...

Crazy colored flat

Another crazy flat

...still looking because I don''t think either of those are them...

Gypsy those are really cute! Too bad they''re 1.5 sizes too big

.

Freke - You''re right, neither of those are it. The first ones are close, except for that thing on top of the shoe. I do like the color scheme of those.

No worries, Gypsy. I really really appreciate you and Freke helping me out.

I love those crazy colored flats that Freke posted. I want to get those, but don''t know what I''d wear them with. I bought my first pair of flats to wear to the walk this weekend. I''ll see how that goes. :-D

brooklyn: Good luck on the shoe search, you couldn''t be in better hands.

These are cute, but out of budget and kind of crazy...and probably too casual...but colorful!Link

Not in multiple funky colors, but solid funky colors....Linky

Freke, Gypsy, marchswallowbird, Brazen, TheBigT, thank you guys very much for taking the time to help me out.

I am heavily leaning towards the Hollywould blue ballet-like slippers that Freke posted.

The only thing is that I''m not sure if they''re too casual to wear to my wedding. I see all of these gorgeous high heeled shoes with all sorts of embellishments, and I feel like i want all of that. My dress is pretty simple (Melissa Sweet Mila), so I think it would be nice to have some sparkly shoes, just fro contrast.

I''ll keep looking, and will of course update this tread as I go along.

I''m still looking too. I''ve been searching for wedding shoes too (even though I''m not engaged yet, the shoes are the most important part of the ensemble to me--duh!) so I''ll keep my eye out.

(And I''m looking for a satin peep toe, 3 inch heel, white silver or blue if you see any!!!)

Thanks Freke!

I''ve been looking a lot and I believe I''ve seen some shoes that fit that description in silver and white. Are there any other specific requirements? Budget?

I''ll look when I get home from work tonight, and post :)

Like these?

GAH!!!!!Those CLs.....Shoes of my dreams, right there!

I think the budget would be under $300. I can't talk my mom into over $700! Unfortunately. But she knows that my shoes are a Very Important Purchase (we all know I have a shoe problem) so I think she might go up to $300, and if she isn't, I might be able to swing that myself in January (so no rush).

Myglassslipper.com seems to be going through maintenance right now, so I'll look at those later, but I'm liking what I'm seeing! Poo on the Pedro Garcias for not being in my size!

So my ideal shoe would be the Stuart Weitzman 'Sashay' shape, peep toe/full back (for the right shoe I'd go slingback though), I'll dye white satin blue, silver shoes are great, and blue shoes (all shades but Navy) are what I'm hoping for. And I'm good with some embellishment like knots/pleating/small bows/crystals, but I'd like them as simple as possible. 3 inch heel (skinny stiletto) or so, but less than 4 inches. Satin. Prefer a size 8, but I'll take a 7.5. Not too terribly complicated.

I'll post pics of shoes I like, but aren't right for some reason or another.

Love the color and the shape, but not the bow

Love the shape and the embellishment but not the black or the lace.

Love everything but the black

Heres the SW Sashay

Ok. To bed with me!!

Thanks Brooklyngirl and TheBigT! I'll continue the search tomorrow!
