AN, You advised that my DD should go to XO at the Oxford Valley Mall to get her prom dress altered. She stopped by there and asked (she said she was happy that the store did not smell like cigarettes anymore) and they will not do alterations if the garement was not purchased there. She did give her a card from another seamstress and just wanted to see if this was the person who has done alterations for you? Her name is Meena.

I was also given the name of another woman (Inez) in Newtown Borough who does dress alterations and waiting to hear from another woman in Wycombe who is a seamstress, but am not sure if she does dress alterations.

Good thing that DD has some time before she needs her dress. Nonetheless she wants everything done now because she has her AP exams in May and won't have anytime to deal with it.

Hi! Just saw this

My personal experiences with their seamtress' have all been really good so I am thinking that any referrals that they give to other ones are probably just as comparable. Meena sounds familiar. The woman who did mine had dark hair and she was petite and probably in her upper 50's. Hope this helps a little!!!
