The more I look at these invitations, the more I LOVE the monogram with the swirly letters and crown. I think this logo was hand calligraphed. However, the font looks very similar to the feel and fling fonts. Do you think a similar monogram could easily be photoshopped or done in illustrator? Thanks ladies...

I am pretty positive it could be duplicated in PS. if you can''t find the exact font (I don''t know if the crown is part of it or not..?) You could always download a paintbrush and load it into PS to create the crown (i always like using them off of www.brusheezy.com plus they are free there) Good luck!

Yes! DH and I designed our custom ligature in photoshop.

if anyone on here is photoshop illiterate and needs some help, im more than willing btw. one of the girls over in liw had an engagement photo and i touched it up for her for free and made it look like she had pro pics taken but really they just took pictures in their living room. i have a degree in graphic communications, i may as well put it to some good use right? :)

Smurfy, I''d love some help! I''m always amazed by the generosity of everyone on PS. Should I be looking for a dingbat of a crown similar to the one in the picture? I can''t figure out what the font is exactly, since it''s so swirly...and how to get the letters to connect. Our initials are G and T....here''s a little better of a picture, too.

cali ill whip somethin up at work today (god forbid i actually work hahha
) and post it on here :)

oh i almost forgot, do you want it to be that gold color?

Here's what I came up with for now, I'm not crazy about the font but I'm sure I could find some other fonts too that would work. hmmm....I'll be thinkin about this one today lol now that im lookin at it the colors look a little off but thats something that could be fixed easily obviously :)

OOhhhh great job smurfy!

thanks iwpo :)
that "T" is a tricky little bugger!

Smurfy, you rock! I forgot to tell you that the initial order needs to be GT. Ladies initial first :) I think that to look like the original picture, the T needs to be a tiny bit bigger than the G, so that the top of the T swoops over the G and then the crown sits there? But you know more than me. And gold is exactly what I want!

Yeah I thought having the T go over the top of the G would look better too but it didn''t work too well with this particular font (it''s called champagne, how appropriate haha) I will try some other fonts when I get home, I have more of a selection at home since I do most my graphic designing there and at work we mostly just do video editing (I work at a news station). :)

Ohh, I totally see what you''re saying. the T can''t go after the G and touch it because of the flourish. They would have to sit far away from each other. While I''m happy with the flourish edges intersecting, the G can''t be completely covered. Champagne isn''t cutting it this time! Thanks again soooo much.

yeah champagne always makes things messy, in fonts and in RL haha

hey cali i know i was gonna try and do that at home tonight but it turned out there was a huge night owl sale at kohls and FI and i needed new underwear and socks hahah, it was 50% off everything, how could we pass it up!! Anyways, I''m not working tomorrow so I''ll probably just work on it then while im bummin around the apt :)

Smurfy, haha, I understand--underwear always comes first. There''s no rush to get it done today. I''m excited to see what you do though!
