So for the most part I’m all etiquette-shmetiquette, my wedding/my rules.
However, there are some rules that can’t be ignored and that’s what I need help with.
My FMIL just called and offered to throw us an engagement party. I was really thrilled she said that because I love her parties (she has themed parties once every three months or so and they are awesome).
Problem: she’s having her house remodeled and said that she is going to have the party at her neighbor’s house. (Little background story: they were never close before until three hurricane seasons ago when they all met and ever since then they’ve been BFFs LOL). I love her neighbors and they are always inviting us to parties or just to come over for coffee. But I didn’t really have any intention on inviting them to the wedding since we’re only inviting family and really, really close friends.
So if she hosts the party at their house, do I have to invite them? I would think that yes I do.
