Me and fi have decided to be cake making extraordinaires! This is our first project we recently made for my sister and her husband's 6th wedding anniversary Everything is edible! You'll have to excuse the mess on the table lol

hahaha that was actually my roommates beer. Fi and I hardly ever drink

HOWEVER
We had to use vodka to stain the wood on the base and our cat decided to traipse across it while it was still wet.....then he licked his paws....then he passed out under the kitchen table hahaha glad somebody had a great night Here he is licking his paws some more haha

I made this for SOs 29th birthday. The story behind it is he always used to bring up that on his 18th birthday he had a party and his mum had got him this really cool homer simpson cake. During the party one of his friends had cut the cake and people ate it all before he ever got to see it, which he has been disgruntled about since. So I surprised him with one on his 29th.
It''s a rich chocolate cake (theres about 1kg of chocolate in there).

love the homer simpson cake!!!

it definitely smeared it but the table is soooo old and wobbly, stuff is always falling off it that we decided we are just gonna throw it when we move to our new place and use any gift cards we get from the wedding towards a table from target, i think this table is probably like 50 years old at least. my parents first had it when they got married then my sister had it for 25 years and then it finally got discarded on me lol

smurfy keep an eye on the sales. We got a fantastic all hardwood table with chairs from Sears recently for very inexpensive, we LOVE it.
