kids were actually sledding down my street in the middle of the afternoon! cute to watch from the warmth of my apartment! little different when most of the hills are roads. im sure there were MANY people in central park, but didnt venture that far.
That is such a great picture! It lightly snowed here in Charlotte yesterday. And when I say lightly it means not only did it not stick but you could barely tell it was snowing. I don''t think it even lasted an hour.
thanks everyone! i had great fun watching the snow sunday. it was truely a unique experience. the night before there was actually lightning along with the snow!!!

during the day the pictures werent so great (too much snow in the air...everything got a little muddy. here is a picture of 103rd @ about noon. ...and yes i was standing in the middle of bdwy for this one. cars werent exactly moving in the city yet as you can see.
i believe most schools were open (city schools at least were) ...not sure if they were delayed tho. the morning paper today said attendance was way down monday however. 62% compare to 87% on a typical monday.
manhattan was fairly well clearned monday except for parked cars and lakes of slush at crosswalks. transit was VERY slow and the outer reaches of the city were still snowed in...
