Buying from overseas

Hi,

Just want to hear the thoughts of those based in the US on purchasing something pre-loved online (perhaps via forums) from overseas. I am based in Asia and have posted in other jewelry forums to put up pieces that I no longer love for sale. At the moment, I also have several pieces that have been put up. However, I do not get any response, much less an enquiry for the items. I would like to ask for opinion here if it has to do with the fact that the item is overseas? The items are rather pretty and delicate pieces from well known brand name that is very popular so I don't think it has to do with the item itself. The prices have also been marked down from original prices.

So ladies (and gentlemen), would you have any reservations purchasing pre-loved items from overseas? Thanks!

I love to buy secondhand pieces. I would definitely feel most comfortable with an American seller, but the #1 reason I don't buy or inquire on pieces is that they aren't cheap enough. I buy secondhand because I am looking for a great deal.

Oh, and I would be more hesitant to buy well known name brand pieces from Asia because I know some Asian countries produce tons of knock offs and fakes. I would be extra distrustful of name brands because of the lack of effort abroad to enforce copyrights and trademarks.
