Wedding Bridesmaids Luncheon?

Is anyone planning on having a special luncheon with their bridesmaids?

If so when are you planning on doing it?

violet - I did one two days before the wedding (wedding was on a Sunday we did it on Friday). I would have preferred to do it the day before, but its a long story.

Anyway, I think when you do it depends partly on your schedule the weekend of the wedding, and partly on whether the ''maids live in town or not.

When we did ours, my mom took all the girls to get our nails done at a favorite salon, then we had a long lunch at a French place nearby. It was a lovely opportunity for us all to relax and enjoy each others'' company and for me to give them their gifts that I put together. I highly recommend something similar if you can fit it into your schedule.

Our wedding is on a Saturday - we''re doing a bridesmaid luncheon the Thursday before the wedding - A very close Aunt of FI''s offered to throw us the luncheon and FI''s mom rented us a limo for the day to take us to the luncheon and then to the spa to get manis and pedis - paid for by my mom!! We''re so excited!

I''m getting my mani/pedi two days before the wedding and my bridesmaids won''t be there with me, BUT I should plan a spa day for them the weekend before since they are all in town and then we grab lunch after. That might be nice! I have a man of honor too should I drag him along and make him get a manicure?

The only problem with girls getting their nails done a week before is the polish chip factor though. I''d love to have them get it done closer to the wedding but I''m not sure one of my bridesmaids will be there until the day before... Maybe we can do it the morning before? I could do the lunch the weekend before and the spa the morning before.

I think that''s a great idea. I totally hear you on the polish chip factor - now way could I keep my nails looking nice for a whole week

We''re getting married on a Friday (NEXT Friday!) and we''re doing the bridesmaids'' luncheon this Saturday, right before the bachelorette party. I''m so excited!!!!

We''re having to squeeze in the bridesmaids'' luncheon, but we''re definitely doing it! My BMs aren''t getting to KY until Thursday night (Saturday wedding), so we''ll have the luncheon at 11:45 on Friday, followed by the rehearsal at 3:30 and then the rehearsal dinner at 5:30. That day is gonna be crazzzzzzy, but I''m sure it will be a big blur for me anyhow!

Actually, I''m most looking forward to the rehearsal dinner. Since our wedding is huge, we''ve still got 68 people on the invite list for the rehearsal dinner - so, not quite super intimate, but still our best friends and closest family.

I think my bridesmaids will be sick of me, and eating, by then.

LOL Krissie... I was thinking of doing the same thing, luncheon and then rehearsal dinner same day but I thought I''d be sick of eating that day too! Instead I think I''m going to book them for mani/pedis that morning (fri, day before wedding) and then we''ll come back do the rehearsal then the dinner. The luncheon I''ll do the saturday before with my man of honor there too!

Haven, how exciting for you! Only a week away!!!!

My bachelorette party is going to be a full month before my wedding. We''re all flying to LA for that one. Shopping, spa, eating, bar hopping!
