Hi everyone! I''ve most recently become a bride in waiting and I''m so excited! The wedding is a little more than a year away (August 1, 2009), but of course I''ve been looking at everything and anything having to do with weddings trying to figure out what I''d like. Well, right now I''m trying to find some pretty simple, on the cheaper side (I do NOT have a $2000 budget for invitations like I''ve seen some do), black and white invitations.

Anyone have any ideas of actual invitations of perhaps good web-sites I could check out? I did a little search on here for invitations and I found a bunch of invitation sites, but the cards were really expensive, like $4-7 ea.

Thanks in advance!

I would suggest Alaun By Design. They have more simple designs, but their price range is between 2-4 dollars for an entire set (invitation, RSVP, Reception card, and Thank You card) I have read reviews that brides have been happy with the quality, but they have a very long turn around time, so if you see something you like, allow plenty of tiem!

If you like a very traditional look try http://www.reavesengraving.com/. My friend used them for her wedding and they were beautiful but (relatively) inexpensive. They also have the option of using Crane''s paper which of course would hike up the price!

I got mine on a tight budget from exclusivelyweddings.com

momental designs!

google it. the designer is awesome, her name is kristy rice.

she will call you, hear your vision, ask your colors and create a sample invitation for you.

mine is on her site right now under current projects.

then when you see the sample, you tell her what you like, what you dislike, what you think could make it better, etc.

i just saw my first one today and am tweaking it a little. you can go look at mine "lora"

tell me what you think!

My Mom ended up picking up our invitations at a craft store (Michaels, i think). 200 for $30! And then FI put together the text, font, etc in word, and we got all of them printed at Kinkos for $7!!! (That was half off though, so it would have been $14 for printing.)

They actually turned out very nice. Not too fancy, but when I''ve mentioned to people what a nice job FI did, EVERYONE has said that they never would have guessed that we made them.

Good luck!!!

Along the lines of Michael''s Target has some nice ones I believe. Also I like Papyrus I think they sell Crane & Co and a lot of the traditional options.
