When I tried on my dress in the salon, I wore a slip and a long-line bra. Are these things I should plan on buying for my wedding day? I realize I need to make this decision before I do my fittings, so advice would be appreciated. My dress is strapless, A-line.

Also, for those of you that wore these items, where did you buy them?

Thanks!

It really depends on how you feel and your dress. Some dresses have enough support that if you aren''t too big on top, you won''t need a bra. And some dresses have enough pouf built in that you don''t need a crinoline (the poufy slip thing). Your best bet would be to try on the dresses without these things to see how it looks/feels, and then decide if you need them.

I got my long-line bra from David''s bridal...they carry both a push-up version and a minimizing version (I had to go with the minimizer). I probably didn''t need a long-line bra and could have just worn a regular strapless, but I liked having the extra "suck in power" around my tummy.

I borrowed my crinoline from a friend, but I''m pretty sure she got hers on ebay. They probably sell them in all bridal salons, but they are much cheaper on ebay!

Depending on where you live, there are probably specialty bra shops that would carry a wide selection of longline bras, and better yet, will fit you so you are in the correct size. Because they usually carry more styles, you can probably target areas you want to slim or push up

instead of only having one or two choices like a department store would have.
