Does anyone own one of these?

We saw a commercial for this last night on tv for the portable one, but the original looks good to me. We can also hook it up to our cd player and dvd player and it charges while on the dock. We have BOSE systems in our cars and there is no doubt the sound is great. There is also a BOSE store nearby and we'll probably check it out. Just wondering if any PSers out there has one.

(I knew that when I got DH hid Ipod it would cost me money!)

We have one! Ours is the portable model. Originally DH bought ours for his iPod for when he was going out of town for an extended period of time. I didn't think much about it when he first got it. Now, ironically, I am the one that uses it the most and I LOVE it. The sound is great, it is very easily portable and the battery life is fairly long. We have gone through several speaker/iPod set-ups and all the rest were really subpar in sound quality. The BOSE sound dock is by far the best out of the three or four speakers styles/brands that we have tried. Although BOSE is more pricey than others, I feel the money was well spent with this sound system.

We have the original one and it is really incredible! We live in a small-ish apartment, but if I have it on in one room, the sound is almost equally as clear in all rooms. I would highly suggest it! Haven't had it very long but it gets plenty of use and we've had zero complaints so far.

onedrop and les12, thank you for your replies. There is a Bose store not too far from us so we will check it out.

I have read the reviews both on CNET and Amazon and there might be a problem if DD wants to use the Bose dock - for some reason, unknown even to those who carry the Bose systems ,the Ipod Touch 4G is not compatible due to the design change of the newest generation of Ipod Touch. . I will ask at the Bose store to see if this problem has been addressed.

It's great, and it has a remote! :)

DH has one and we both love and can't live without it! Great sound, yet so compact.

Having said that, while he IS able to play music from his iPhone 4G, the quality is not the same as his iTouch ;( . We're audiophiles, so we can detect the difference in sound quality, but most of the people around don't seem to notice (or maybe care?).

Its money well spent, IMHO (well, after jewelry, of course!).

We have one! We have the original and it lives in our master bathroom. The sounds is fabulous!

DH and I went to the BOSE store near us and listened to both the original and the portable and to us the portable had the best sound. DH has some Beatles albums on his iPod (he has the iPod classic) that were from original LPs that we converted into mp3 files and downloaded them to the Ipod. The sound was great considering the songs were from albums (not remastered cd's) that were played over and over again many years ago. That sold us right then and there. Even though we didn't purchase on the spot we are getting the portable before 1/15 as that is the date when the 10% off goes through.

For those with the iPod Touch 4th Generation - since the Ipod design is somewhat different than the previous generations (flat as opposed to curved base) it will not fit the Bose system without an adapter no matter what they try to tell you. I brought DD's iTouch and thought they would break it trying to fit it in there.
