I believe they're a "comfort/alternative" brand of shoe. I needed some nice flats/sandals for a wedding that I could still wear again later so I started looking at all the comfort brands and found these:

I ordered the light bronze one, and it's a REALLY pretty shade of gold/bronze. It also calls attention to my blinding whiteness and my feet needing some tending to, though. But they didn't rub at all, well not in the minute I left them on. So hopefully they stay that way so I can wear them for more than an evening and NOT have to bandaid every inch of skin on my feet for a month.

I LOVE Born shoes. A less expensive alternative that are just as comfortable are B.O.C sandals. If you want to really be sure to prevent rubbing and blistering, I suggest using Body Glide. It's used by runners and athletes to prevent chafing and it really prevents any kind of blistering. I think you can get it at sporting good stores or running stores.

I feel like I have that somewhere...It works for me in some cases, but I usually end up back on the fabric bandaids... :| Ill need to go look if I still have it in the other room. I am bringing them with me though just in case. Ill probably wear around the office Thursday to make sure I can handle a day in them, and have my backup otherwise.

I looked at Born, BOC, Ecco, Sas, Merrell, Bloch, Geox, Keen and a few others before I found this pair. I was annoyed no one local to me had it. But Zappos to the rescue.

I love Born shoes too! I just have Born boots though. cute sandals!!!

Like 'em.

I've got a couple of pairs of sandals and a pair of clogs.

I have a really cute pair of Born strappy wedge sandals and they are seriously the most comfortable shoes I own. I love them!

LOVE them! They are very comfortable, I just ordered a pair.

Thanks!!! I don't typically do sandals, in part bec I hate my feet and in part bec they're usually wildly uncomfy. And comfort trumps all for me. I usually wear converse allstars (low) in NAVY (i have 4 pair of the same shoes..all in navy) as well as croc flats in navy...and camel colored uggs for winter. Im a boring fail. Stacy and Clinton would weep.

I am anxious about rubbing so hopefully they're gonna be ok. I didn't want to pack too many pairs of shoes. It's not that long of a trip. HOPEFULLY I can sightsee and wear them to the wedding and be ok.

I love b.o.c. sandals too, I just bought these and they are seriously comfy (and usually I can't do wedges/heels without injuring myself):

Ame yours are super cute and look very comfortable!

I love born shoes, I have a couple pairs of sandals and a couple clogs and super comfy!

I've found Born shoes at good prices at Marshalls and TJ Maxx in the past. I hope these shoes end up being super comfy on your tootsies!

Thanks everyone! I am wearing them today at work to see how I do. I have one toe bandaid'd already. But I expected it because EVERYTHING I wear requires it. It just rubs weird. Anyway. It took me TEN MINUTES to get them on and the clasp buckled. lol. I am not as flexible as I was, and it was like...I could not contort any other way. lol If anyone could've watched they would have died laughing.

I used to have a couple pairs of Born sandals which were reasonably cute and initially really comfy. Unfortunately, when I actually started to wear them around, I realized that the way the insole is constructed really hurts my feet. They have these thick, kind of rough seams that fall right where I put pressure at the ball of my foot, and after a couple hours I just cannot walk in them anymore. It kills me because whenever I'm on the lookout for comfy sandals and spy ones I like the look of, without fail they are Born so I can't get them. :blackeye:
