if you cant figure out how to use the macro feature ( and I cant haha) you can try taking a pic of the ring from further away and then just cropping it on photoshop. it works alright.
Irish, I just had a mild panic attack -- my word, what if a dress cannot be done in time? My first "shopping" day will be the 21st. I just emailed a locale shop that has the dress I want and asked if it''s even possible.
Otherwise, I''m not worried about anything else, as the summer will let me focus on those pesky details.
I don''t know about the dress situation, but if you''re looking for something that''s on the rack I don''t think you''ll have a problem. I''ve gotten a few dresses from bridal stores for formals, and the little alterations of length, straps, etc were done pretty quickly. If you were going custom, I''d be worried though. Those other details will just fall into place won''t they? I think it''s awesome how some couples have the wedding so quickly...less time to be stressed! By the time it''s all set, it''ll be time to get married! Way to go! Good luck!!!

Oooooh.... love love LOVE the proportion of the 2 little RB sidestones to the BIG center stone... that is exactly the look I''m hoping for when my ring is finally set!
Thanks Fisher...we''re looking at October 2006...as in 4 months. Tomorrow we''re going to look at the Planetarium where he proposed...if it''s at all acceptable, we''re booking it and moving on. I figure short term stress is better than long term stress
Wow- Congratulations on your engagement and your wedding!! October will be here before you know it, enjoy the planning, don''t get too stressed, and I''m sure it will be great!! Keep us updated on your wedding plans! Can''t wait to see more pics of that gorgeous ring!
Fisher I like your style...you will have everything ready to go!
I love two of the Maggie Sottero styles...and the place I''m going on Tuesday is a vendor of them. I''m just terrified that they won''t be able to meet my timeline...I am absolutely willing to pay for a rush job...let''s just hope they give me that option! I want to have the dress picked out and ordered by this time next week! I''m a fast shopper, so I won''t be wasting time going to 5000 stores.
Just keep your fingers crossed for me that I can order a dress in time and that it doesn''t need major alterations!
I miss my ring -- I get it back in 20 hours from the jewelers who are sizing it! Whoo!
Ok, everybody do the "Jackie will get a dress/no stress" hoochie coo!
I hope you find a great dress at a great price that looks fabulous on you and is totally ready way before your wedding day!
There is a store in Burlington, a city near me, called Bridalmart. They carry tons of dresses, but without the fancy store, so prices are TONS less. I''ve been there before and FULLY intend on being there the first chance I get once I have the ring on my finger. Otherwise, trying on dresses feels like playing dress up to me. *I may even have to have a sick day from work!*
Ok -- after 2 sizings, I have my ring...still working on the photog skills -- there is no yellow in this diamond at all. My house lighting is very...shall we say warm? I''ll try to get some outdoors shots, but it''s raining right now.
Thank you! Yes, it fits much better. No more twisting. They put a bridge at the bottom, which keeps it in place. It''s a tad loose, but I know my fingers swell if I even look at something salty, it''s all good. I''m so happy to finally have it -- it''s been 10 days, and the jeweler has had it 8 of those days!!!
