I feel bad for y''all, but we''re just a bit waterlogged here in Central Texas, too. Today was the first time we saw sunshine at all for at least a week.

My 50 mile drive to work this morning was a dangerous white knuckle trip - - pouring rain and lots of water on the interstate. I pulled off once and waited out a downpour, then had to pull over again ten miles later. It was impossible to see. My 45 minute commute took one and a half hours.

You have my sympathy. I''m pretty fed up myself.

Well I think my weather beats all of yours today for outrageousness.

We got 2 inches of snow!

It really has been terrible out! But I shouldn''t complain - we truly needed it.

I heard that over by Ben Lomand, they got over 7 inches of rain (with a mud slide alert - yikes!)
Over here, by San Francisco, we got about 3-4 inches of rain so far.

Sacramento and the rest of CA are getting all of the rain and everyone is too concerned about the delta smelt to send any water our way. We poor San Diegans are going to die in our desert!

My mom drove from L.A. to the San Jose area yesterday and said it was quite a scary trip.

in south bay i think we got about 7 inches of rain in the last 24 hours... we SO needed it but YES kimberly it was super freaky out there. plus Californians don''t know how to drive in any sort of weather so of course there were like 500 accidents. i def tried to stay off the roads as much as possible, sheeting rain and pieces of trees blowing across the freeway are not automobile friendly!!

My sister needed a babysitter (important appt.) and couldn''t find anyone to watch her son, so he she called my mom out of desperation. My mom told me when she arrived she asked my sister if she was testing her love for them, then she told her as much as she does love them she''ll never make that trip in a rainstorm again. Lots of overturned vehicles, including cargo trucks, and detours. She ended up on the 152 and the 166 (whatever those are?!).
