I could use some help! I’m trying to find the perfect shade of neutral pink nail polish. No luck so far. Any suggestions for me?

This one is close but not exactly right for what I’m looking for. image.jpg

solid or sheer?

I have gone on this journey - I recommend China Glaze brand Low Maintenance from their Chic Physique collection (might have been limited edition, but still looks available on Amazon). If you want something a bit fleshier/pinker, Sally Hansen Pink Pong is another favorite, but you have to vigorously build it up as it is semi-sheer, and it has been long discontinued.

It's not a skin-matching nude, but fwiw I wear Essie Ladylike the very most often! You might like it too, my pink-pale-sister :)

One of my favorites (and it's super cheap!) is 2% milk from Wet n Wild. It manages to be a pinky creamy beige color without leaning too far in any particular direction. I've tried all the classics people suggest like OPI's Bubble Bath and I always go back to 2%!

Is there a solid pale pink?
I tried essie and it was so sheer it was useless

That probably depends on how pale you are looking for.

I picked up this one a couple weeks ago. I don't remember if I did 2 or 3 coats, but it was solid. 20200727_131914.jpg

What about OPI Bubble Bath---I am super pale and have (I think) pinkish undertones. Maybe google it?

Bubble Bath tends to be warmer and I've even had it turn yellow-ish on me from swimming in chlorinated pools.

I used to love Essie Ballet Slippers. Currently a fan of ORLY Kiss The Bride. I also love Seche Vite's "gel" kit--no UV lamp needed; it includes a base coat and a top coat that gives the look of a gel manicure. The ORLY polish doesn't streak and becomes opaque in 2 coats.

I just bought Essie ballet slippers and marshmallow from target.

Here is a pic of some of the whites on someone’s fingers (just in case you were interested in whites)

Thank you! Ballet slippers I didn't love; marshmallow I have purchased but not tried yet. Great to have it recommended from someone else - now I really want to try it!

Thank you! I will look into these!!! It's starting to get expensive to try out a bunch of colours haha and wasteful (what do you do with a bottle if you don't like it? Haha) so thanks for giving me some direction!

Oh man I've got high hopes for this! Thanks for the suggestion!

That ORLY colour looks really good. Very promising.

I am very pale and find that nudes with a slightly grey/purple undertone work best with my skin as a lot of pale pinks look too warm/peachy. Rimmel "60 SECONDS SUPER SHINE NAIL POLISH" is really good.

Hand shots with both nail polish colors and rings please!!! :D

Thanks! I’ll check it out!!

@pearaffair I recently started buying DND nail polish (it comes in packs with both regular polish and gel polish), the regular polish stays on my nails for 1-2 weeks.
The nude color that I bought from them is called Cinnamon Whip (613). I have super pale skin with pink undertone since I stay out of the sun, this color blends in well with my skin, though the only photo I have of it on, it looks a bit darker. The DND brand has a huge selection of colors and I found that any color that I use from them complements my skin, which is a first. Their pastel neons are the best.

And this is bossa nova with Essie marshmallow painted on top of it haha. I love it!!4903328E-C290-49C5-B744-E3F3FC0BA7D0.jpeg9B7432AD-515D-4EAA-BBE2-4AFFEA8761E4.jpegDA745B8F-128B-4C17-84ED-FEF5868FE52B.jpeg

Great for summer! But not a pink.

I know I’m late to this party but I have this one. I usually use a sheer pink on my fingers but was trying this out and used it on my toes. Might be too pink? But it’s not sheer. Deborah Lippmann - Cake by the Ocean CA0520E4-369E-4CC0-B796-C871E7597A5C.jpeg

Essie Sugar Daddy

I see I have some more to try!

I bought a bunch. This pic is with two coats of five different polishes, one colour on each nail. 690C4220-EC96-455E-BE90-B49D24D14BD2.jpegE0CA20EC-D20B-4476-BF82-BA8C070199E2.jpegAD1C9EEC-D38D-49F0-A983-DB63C6F44F56.jpeg0B57FA94-6111-40F8-84D2-A7368557C469.jpeg

It was a total rush job. But I had some clear winners and losers for me.

From left to right:

OPI getting nadi on my honeymoon
OPI bubble bath
Essie skinny dip
Essie marshmallow
Essie ballet slipper

Getting nadi on my honeymoon, and marshmallow- winners

The rest I don’t care for. Skinny dip was ok but I have other sheer ones I prefer.
