Bannon gets the boot..

McMaster probably did not want him on the council as he is more than capable. Glad to see Coats and Dunford back.

Why don't they say that then?

NOTHING surprises me any more. I'm expecting to log on one day and see the pee pee tape all over youtube.:lol::lol:

Sox, I'm surprised we haven't seen the story enacted on SNL
Do you believe it's real, just curious.

While I don't believe Bannon is evil as portrayed by the left, I think he probably served his purpose during the campaign.

I honestly don't know. It would be awesome if it was.

You want it to be true?
I hope that's a joke.

:loopy: :))

I am speculating my dear.
My speculation was the same. Actually, I heard that when Trump hired him it was with the proviso that he could have whom he wished on the council, then Trump went back on it and would not let him fire Bannon. As soon as I heard the news today, I thought, "McMaster got what he wanted". (I also thought, "Thank God!".) Later today a newspaper reported that McMaster had, indeed, ousted Bannon. The National Security Council needed him the way a fish needs a bicycle.

Between the news of Bannon's ouster from The Security Council and Trump's unexpectedly serious reaction to Assad's use of chemical weapons against his own people in Syria (he noticed! he cared!) I was left feeling less depressed than I have been since the election!

Too bad that he chose to make the chemical weapons attack tragedy about Obama's failures. Spicer's speech made me ill.

Not to bring down your slightly lifted spirits, Deb, but this Syrian situation is scary. It's not just Assad, but Russia and Iran, as I'm sure you know. I know you love Obama, but he left Trump a mess. (Not to say that Obama didn't inherit a mess).
Too many hot spots in the world presently and the US with a depleted military. Hopefully, nations will come together over this and end the horror in Syria.
IMHO Obama made things worse than he found them, and I pray that Trump doesn't do the same.

Deb I am glad we can agree and I would rather Bannon be gone from the WH as he is a distraction for the media and left.

Anna you are correct and the Syria problem is not new but was not helped by Obama for sure. After seeing what happens when we help topple dictators it has to be left up to the people of Syria whether Assad stays or goes. We cannot decide that for them but must, along with other nations, help them.

You are sooooo picky, Elliot. There you go raining on my parade. And I thought everything was rosy in America again. It's all your fault. You liberals are too negative.

Well at least we do not have to hear how Bannon is pulling Trumps; strings anymore.

Question about this board. Is there a way to reply without quoting? When I try I have to go back and delete the last post?

No, no, no, no, no. You are too kind. I will not let you Republicans and conservatives give Obama credit where none is due. I absolutely will not!

Don't be modest, AnnaH. George W. Bush deserves 99.99% of the credit for Syria. That Obama didn't rescue the situation George W Bush created shouldn't be blamed on him. Good old W's invasion of Iraq is what caused the entire problem. Take some credit!!! :read:

I still love you Deb! :halo:

Deb, if President Obama is as great as you say, why didn't he improve the world? That was his promise.

You said above (and I quote) "I know you love Obama, but he left Trump a mess".

Now you say "If Obama is as great as you say"

Here is your challenge, Anna. How great did I say Obama is and when did I say it?

Quotes, please. And don't use the nice photos of Michelle Obama with George W. Bush leaning on her shoulder as proof I loved Obama. I know I said I loved those photos.

If I deny liking Obama, I may be accused of protesting too much.

Deb, I'm not going to search for quotes. If you don't love, love, love, Obama, then I apologize.
Tell you what, eight years after PS liberals stop blaming Bush, I'll stop blaming Obama.
Now there's a challenge.

He's just off the NSC. He's still the shadow president.

Thank you, Mary Poppins.

That works.

No matter what you think of Trump, he is no one's puppet. He is his own man.

We'll have to agree to (strongly) disagree.

Sorry. I am a member of the intelligentsia, albeit a lowly member and a poorly educated one. I was trained to be a historian. I still see my duty as pointing out the causes of and effects of historical events as I see them. Naturally, I am often wrong, but I cannot promise not to blame one person or one wave of thought or one event for causing something else, even if I am to be proven wrong. Nor can I put a time limit on when I will stop thinking something and start thinking something else. :read:

In friendship,

Ha, ha, Deb. If liberals didn't have Bush to blame, how would they defend Obama?
