Anyone else having this problem??

My sleep lately has been more broken, and my dreams though not "bad" are basically long slogs of frustrating and impossible searches - last night's dream featured me shopping in B&M stores for a new pair of jeans for my mother, who is 83 years old and not only doesn't want a pair of jeans but hasn't worn jeans for probably 60 years - so I wake up exhausted and without having found jeans for someone who doesn't even want them. lol.

Are your dreams bad like scary or bad like negative?

Haha. I only have nightmares. I very rarely ever have a good dream. So nothing has changed. I am a vivid dreamer and remember all my dreams, which kind of sucks to be honest. My husband can almost never remember his dreams. I find that so weird. I think it would be common for people to have stress dreams right now.

I dream a lot! Mostly weird dreams in the last week.

Bad negative. My husband was going to leave me, my glasses broke (I'm blind without them), I lost my purse with wallet and all ID. That kind of thing? I wake up exhausted cuz I'm running around like you say!

That sucks lyra! YeH, pretty sure it's normal as it happens when I'm stressed. Still, Every. Damn. Night???

Jeez.

Work related dreams 3 nights in a row, which I'm sure is subconscious stress.

I dream every night. I rarely remember my dreams however. I wish I could. I cannot say they have been more vivid since the Covid-19 crisis. I think I might be so emotionally drained that I am sleeping somewhat better which still involves waking up many times throughout the night but generally I am able to go back to sleep.

Asked my dh and he said no bad dreams.
Men.

I have had trouble trying to sleep. I don’t feel stressed but I know I am. I havnt been falling asleep till about 4 am.

Yeah, when I am stressed it always shows in my dreams - my "endless searching" and "always lost" dreams show up when I am in a situation that is out of my control or where I feel like I am in limbo - I don't like waking up already feeling tired but I do expect those dreams will be in regular rotation for the new few months ...

In my waking hours I am more upbeat and I do feel like I have done what I can to prepare our household; frankly I'd rather the stress leak out in my sleep as I don't want a tired or hopeless attitude (mine or anyone else's) poisoning the atmosphere of our home.

I mostly have frustration dreams lately. My hormones are a mess, so wake up most nights around 2-3am sweating my head off and anxious. I will ever be glad when I can finally start HRT for this crap.

I do yoga in the morning, workouts in the evening between everything else. Ive been thinking I should switch it up though

My husband had a nightmare of sorts last night. In this dream if you woke up and saw a McDonald's soda on your stomach, you felt scared, if the soda was accompanied by a large fry then you didn't feel scared. I kid you not this is what he dreamt about.

I started taking Metformin a couple of weeks ago and had nightmares as a result of that but now I mainly dream about the insurance office I used to work at. As a child probably the worst nightmare I had was having my neck stuck under a rocking chair and not being able to scream for help, probably had that dream prior to 8 years old, 41 now and still remember it!

Not right now, but a few weeks ago I had constant, non stop horror dreams. For like 2 weeks straight! I don't really remember my dreams, so I would jot it down right away or if I woke up my husband I would tell him lol. I definitely felt so in-rested because I felt like I was so "active" during the sleep. One time I had 2 or 3 bad dreams in a row I didnt want to go back to sleep so I just got up at 5 am. They were bad though. Like murderer in the house, opening my bedroom door sort of thing. When they started to subside they went weird. For example, getting chased by a grizzly bear and attacked, but then we became friends (?? maybe I watched a chapmans ice cream commercial before bed?) lol. Thank goodness they've stopped now. Just living a real life nightmare now

One thing is constant in all my nightmares where I'm driving a car--the brakes don't fully work EVER! I hate driving dreams as a result. Can never park a car properly because it just keeps going.

This is terrifying! I haven't had that but I have had dreams where I drive off the bridge and into the river below with my son strapped into the car seat in the back.

Not bad dreams usually. I do dream a lot..but wacky stuff, who knows where it comes from. DH amuses himself many morning by asking about my absurd dreams, lol.
Unfortunately I do suffer from sleep paralysis, when I am stressed or overtired. It’s always accompanied by the same hallucination...I hear voices/people/intruders in the house who I believe are a threat. Sometimes I think my young children (now grown IRL) are in the house with this threat and I can’t get to them. I can’t move, hide or scream. It can be terrifying and exhausting but I have learned some coping strategies that work well.
Interestingly, some sleep experts believe that people who think they have been abducted by aliens may be experiencing sleep paralysis hallucinations. The ‘abducted’ don’t usually believe it is sleep paralysis because the experiences seem so very real.

Mine seem to be related to temperature - if I get too hot the dreams become vivid and memorable. Anyone else have this correlation?

@PreRaphaelite I rarely post on PS (although I do enjoy zooming through and adoring the sparklies!) and felt compelled to share that I, too, have wacky dreams if I get too hot, LOL!

I've been fascinated by my dreams since being a kid. I've learned over time that the only time I have nightmares is when there's an area of my life that I need to pay attention to. If I were to have a dream (From the subconscious? From my higher self? From divine Spirit?) that just said, "Hey. Look what you're doing, here...", it's highly likely that I wouldn't recall it.

Make that a big ole nightmare that wakes me up, and voila!, I'll remember the dream. LOL! Then it's simply a matter of figuring out the symbolism to see where/what I need to focus my attention on in daily life.

ive had 3 hours sleep, just tossing and turning worrying about everything and everybody, but no covid 19 dreams

but ive had kind of unpleasant dreams since moving into this house

i have a recurring one we are still house hunting and there is this one house in particular we keep going back to - more of the house and garden gets revealed as time goes on, those are kinda weird - its a huge house and the gardens are big like the botanical gardens (visions of grandeur except the house is in need of a doo up)

and i now, after never having done before, dream about my late mum and dad
im often back at the family home as my younger self
i think its just because mum and dad are on my mind and our decorating is influenced by the 1970s and my inheritance brought the deposit and lots of things in this house, plus i have things of mum's here i hadn't seen in years,
but more often than not i don't enjoy the dream which is a shame because it should be nice to see mum and dad

the other night i had this dream there was all this vomit everywhere - it was getting deeper and deeper
i woke up to Tibby doing a power chuck in the lounge and Gary panicing and yelling:mrgreen2:

nothing acropilypitic but i know never to watch those kind of movies before bed
