Our wee dogs would, on occasion, have sleep-farts... And often, when walking around, having farted, our male dog would whip his head around to see what made that sound behind him. :lol: Why, oh why, are fart sounds so hilarious?

IMO that was not a "violent smack".

Animals aren't humans.
It doesn't come easily, but I endeavor to not apply human standards, values, morals, ethics, judgements, perceptions, and expectations to the non-human animal, Bibi, in our 'family'.

Rather, I endeavor to learn, understand, and accept a workable blend of:
1. The above stuff of the non-human who shares our home.
2. The above stuff of the humans who share the home.

IOW, I'd never scold/discipline/think worse of a cat for bopping a dog on the head for a fart.
I saw no cat claws, teeth, blood, or upset reaction from the dog.
He just went back to sleep, as in - No biggie.

I'd let the two just work such things out.
IMO that's more respectful and peace-inducing to the two non-humans.

That was my first pup! We'd just be watching TV when all of the sudden someone will shout "O god. Sunny!!" Then everyone will run outta the room before the stink hits them too

i think you set me up and had a word in Ms Borris' ear because i walked into the lounge behind her before and honestly i spent 5 minutes looking for cat poop but i think it was just a very potent fluff
