I guess I better not keep mine in my car...I wonder if iPhones apply? That''s a bit scary. I just sent my sister a new iPod Touch.

How many iPods and iPhones have been sold? Tens of millions? Hundreds of millions? If this were a widespread problem, there''s no confidentiality agreement in the world that would keep the info secret. And my guess is that all of these had something happen to them first. Does the accidental dropping/accident excuse the occasional exploding iPod? No. But it''s not a reason to worry about them either. I''ve had a bunch of them and none of them have gotten the vapors or launched into the air like a rocket.

Ditto this. I love how people get all pissed off when something goes wrong with their toys, RIGHT AFTER THEY DROP IT. Seriously, take care of your stuff and it won''t happen. Even the most well-made iPod could break (or go up in flames, as it were) if I slammed it into the ground.
