Is anyone else following the trial?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,484164,00.html

I find myself haunted by this story for the past day or 2, it keeps creaping into my thoughts. As a mother, I just can not even wrap my mind around this.

I hope that baby has finally found some sort of peace.

I know it''s too late, but I am praying for her soal to rest in peace.

It is a truly heartbreaking story.
I cannot fathom the actions of the parents... just beyond belief

My heart breaks for that little girl...her mother on the other hand, I believe, has a special place in **** waiting for her.

I knew I shouldn''t have clicked on the link, but I did it anyway. I don''t handle things like that very well. It makes me want to vomit and it makes me angry. That poor little girl. I have some choice words for the parents and what I think should be done but I''ll keep those to myself!

I haven''t heard of the case here at all, but that is terrible.

How anyone can do that to a little girl is beyond me how a mother can do that is just incomprehensible

I read an article about it today, and when I got to the part where it said that she reached for her mother and said "I love you" as she was beating her...my heart broke for that poor little baby and I felt ill. I hope their punishment is huge, and that their hell is just beginning.

I remember reading on cnn.com when her body was found, and that was the last I''d heard of it until just now. When I saw the title of the thread, I knew that''s who it had to be about. There are some people in this world who are a waste of space.

Girlrocks, I am in Houston, so yes, it has been hard not to hear about it. My heart breaks every time I hear about what that little angel went through. How on earth can parents do that?
Today I heard the mother was just as much at fault as the father. And the father''s lawyers are pointing fingers at the mom. They both are guilty, I say give them the death penalty and make sure they don''t sit on death roll very long. What those 2 did is unspeakable.

OMG, that''s what I mean, I can not get that visual image out of my head. She was 2, her mother was suppose to be her ultimate protector...I can''t imagine what that little girl was thinking.

my heart just breaks for this child. With all the loving homes that would gladly accept a little girl who is HEALTHY, this home broke her... I am just heartbroken to hear that someone could do this to such a beautiful creature, a CHILD. I am angry and sad all at the same time.

I have allready read this in a different forum, and just the thread title started me crying again.

Uncomprehendable!!!

Lets hope that the publicity of this will encourage more people to fund and support child protection agencies (funded and non government funded ones), so that there are less other children who need to put up with lives of misery.

RIP

I must have been living under a rock, because I''d never heard of this before.

That poor, poor little girl. I very rarely have flashes of rage, but I could feel it hit me when I read about the poor girl telling her mother she loved her as she was being beaten because she was two years old and didn''t have perfect manners.

I haven''t heard of this before... but I cannot even begin to fathom.... Knowing that she was telling her mom she loved her... as a two year old... while all of this happened. I think I might have to go throw up now

this story has so many parallels to the caylee anthony story...i wonder why it has gone under the radar for this long. this is horrifying. i cannot fathom something like this happening . that poor poor baby,.

There''s a lot of cases like this that fly under the radar, which is too bad. People need to know, sickening as it is, so we can find a way to make it stop happening. I was reading on the internet another story a few months ago about a child, and there was reference to "Baby P". I had no clue who that was, so I did a search on cnn.com, and ended up w/a story similar to Baby Grace, of torture and abuse so violent and heartbreaking that I bawled for hours, and barely slept that night, having visions of what the poor boy went thru.

How awful. And sickening. I''m not a parent, but my heart still breaks for that little girl just the same.

When I saw her picture...I just wanted to cry. She was an absolute doll, and you know she was much better behaved than the parents tried to say. Not to mention it''s their responsibility to teach her manners, but SHE WAS ONLY TWO!

I think they should be tortured just like their baby was. Or put in a cell with an inmate that abhores child abuse.

I''m not going to read it. Your post was enough to make my heart skip a beat and move up into my throat!

Watching local news here in Houston... they deliberated for less than 2 hours, and are about to read the verdict for the mom.

Found her Guilty of Capital Murder.

Won't be seeking death penalty, so probably life in prison.

Glad they found her guilty!!

I''m SOOOO glad they found her guilty, I hope she spends the rest of her miserable life in jail.
